Uncle Jack's Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

Order our takeaway meal on menulog for 6pm pickup, it was ready at 6pm 🤗😃 We had Beef & Veg, Garlic Prawns (Special Order), Won Ton Soup and Fried Rice. Ate it at home with my parents, my parents have been eating a monthly Chinese Meal be it dine in or takeaway for 30 PLUS Years. We use to frequent East Empress in Glen Waverley which was the Chinese Restaurant to go to in the area. We haven't found an acceptable Chinese to get takeaway or dine in since East Empress closed its doors from it's main location. I am very pleased to advise we have now. The food was superb, the prawns were prepared exceptional well. The Beef & Veg was so tasty that we fought over who had the last piece of beef and the Won Ton soup & Fried Rice were tasty delights. We will go back soon and are very happy that we have an awesome local chinese restaurant to frequebt again. Ps most people go out of their way online to write bad reviews so there are many more happy customers who that should be leaving their goid...

Booked a table for 10 a few days in advance for father's birthday. Terrible choice. Don't go there if you have a group bigger than four. Waited forever for food to come while the uber bells were ringing away for takeaway orders. After something like half an hour the speciality fish dish came which we have to wait like ten mins to cook, then a few minutes later one vegetable. No rice. Rice took 15 minutes to come, other dishes another 30 minutes. By the time we were trying to eat baby was going crazy and I think one order never came. Such a pity. The food is not bad but service is unacceptable. They might do better as a takeaway or uber...

We came here for Mother’s Day dinner tonight, very popular place, family owned restaurant so the restaurant space is limited. The lady that owns the place knows how to serve customers very well, we had some miscommunication with our booking, she resolved it for us by moving and combining tables. The food was amazing, definitely a recommendation and will return. They have a lot of return customers that know the lady. They even gave every table a selection of small gift, (a hand warmer, a face mask and homemade sauce), as it is Mother’s Day. This small gesture is...
