When you dine in for a single person, it's hard to flavour most of the menu, but picking a couple of items and receiving an absolute treat is definitely a plus! The menu is pretty much the stock standard you'd see at most vegetarian restaurants serving a full veg and mock meat spread. I ordered the Hot & Sour soup with the Sweet & Sour Pork on Fried Rice (no egg). The soup came out hot and fresh with finely minced pork, shrimp, green peas, etc, as it should. Flavours were very consistent with what they should be for this dish. Next up was the sweet and sour on rice. I have to say that the Fried Rice had the most authentic flavour I have experienced in a long time! I had to ask where the chef was from and my guess was correct as he dished out some very authentic Cantonese flavours in everything served up. Looking forward to the next meal at Vegie Bowl, this time with a larger audience in order that we can sample some of the other favourites like the kan-kun or the potato leaves.

So I have been here many many times and I love it. The customer service is always great. Everything is Vegan but just confirm certain noodles dishes as I believe they offer Egg Noodles. The last time I ordered the Entree Satay Skewers, I love them, the Satay sauce is hot for those who cannot manage the chilli heat! I ordered the Crispy Chicken, it was a good portion and it came with salt to sprinkle over which I've never seen before. I think a sauce would have been better. I also ordered the Roast Duck Noodle Soup which was good with the Crispy Chicken and rice. I probably recommend the Lemon Chicken over the Crispy Chicken or ask for additional sauce. I always get the Jasmine tea which they do top up. It can get very busy indoors, they have indoor and outdoor seating plus 2 separate areas for a private function. There is a decent amount of free parking on the premises and street.

I've heard good things about this place and was keen to try it out. We went for a Mother's Day lunch where we found they had a set menu specially for the day. Our neighbouring table wasn't too pleased as they said there had been no update about this. We chose the $30 per head options and were surprised how fast the food came out and how well presented it was. However the food definitely wasn't fresh except for the vegetables. The faux meat was tough and sometimes a bit hard/rubbery on the outside as if it had been made earlier and kept warm all day. It tasted ok but I've had better elsewhere. The staff also weren't too approachable, didn't smile, no recommendations, no chit chat. Not the worst experience but not the best, just average.

This is a pleasant enough restauarant with a good sized menu. Be aware this is a vegetarian restaurant which can also serve vegan. It is owned and operated by Buddhists. The meals have no meat products but the menu refers to such things as sweet and sour fish, honey chicken, beef and black bean. There is no fish, beef, chicken, pork or lamb in any of the dishes. All protein is via soy, tofu and mushroom plus spices. The food we tried was OK but not special apart from the Special Fried Rice which does not contain any meat products. Spring rolls taste like spring rolls. Although on this vegetarian menu the prices are quite high it seems a bit strange to pay premium price for honey chicken for example when there is no chicken in the meal. Almost all the meals have traditional meat names and quite frankly do not really taste like or even have the texture of meat. f you are vegetarian or vegan this is the place for you. Alcohol is not served nor is...
