First week open for Willim. Had driven past the area a few days ago to huge crowds milling outside. Finally the florist was gone and a new cafe emerged.

Rapt having another local cafe open.

Lots of seating outside both sides of the cafe; obviously in colder, wetter weather will need umbrellas or coverings as on a cold day you’d lose a lot of business if people couldn’t sit outside. Seating inside for maybe 25-30 people.

Worried we may have to wait ages as two baristas very busy and some staff looking a little like deer in headlights yet as it’s just opened I give a big leeway for that.

Lovely girl explained food in the counter (wraps & rolls), looked all very yummy. Ordered coffees as soon as asked & got menus. Very good mixed selection of brekkie sand lunch.

I went for overnight oats and partner went for ham cheese tomato toastie with mustard mayo. Both very satisfied with size & taste. Oat mocha and short mac both good though I needed sugar which I normally don’t have but went down easily. Probably 3.5/5. Beans were good just I like my milk a lot more foamier.

Music playing which I loved; not too intrusive. People coming and going. I expected to not be able to sit down inside probably could as it was 10.30. Lunchtime I expect busier.

Look forward to returning.

Food 5/5 Coffee 3.5/5 could be higher actually Ambience 5/5 Staff 4/5

Repeatedly gave this place a chance when I livedround the corner but consistent rude service drove me away until this weekend when I thought I’ll give it another chance.

Ordered 2 iced drinks for the kids and a large coffee which on the QR code had to ask for large in the comments as no selection available. Paid a 10% weekend surcharge to wait 20 mins for the kids drinks then to be told I had to go inside and pay an extra dollar for them to bring the coffee out. How about letting the dollar go when you’ve made me wait that long. But it gets better.

After I did that coffee came but no croissants to which they told me they only had one left after ordering 2. So they made me go inside to pay a dollar after waiting over 20 for a coffee only then to have to refund the croissant. So disorganised they didn’t realise they couldn’t even fulfil the food order.

Felt sorry for the young lad who came out to apologise. They told me they had refunded the $14 for both croissants to my account after I complained through the QR code company which I am yet to see.

$37 for 2 iced drinks 1 croissant and a large coffee and a ton of bad attitude and truly awful customer service. Do better. Zero responses to all the bad reviews here tells...

First time exploring this neighborhood cafe. Big disappointment. The staff look super friendly ONLY on their instagram. The reality is, as I stepped in and about to say hi to the barista who’s standing at the very front of the cafe, he was with a poker face and trying to get his coworkers to come here and take my order with a most weird eye-contact. I was so shocked 😮 I mean he could have just greeted me so someone would know there’s customer waiting to be served. He was not busy at all and coffee tastes so over extracted. Such a waste of your fancy coffee machine. Will not go back again. 0 customer service. And I saw a lady with pram trying to order coffee via the small window. The barista just refused to open it and ask her to come in. And then I saw a lady with a dog(might be there regular customer), this time he opened the window right away for her with pleasure. I mean… you can’t treat people differently we are all nice people trying to get coffee and...

I was looking forward to trying this place, having driven past and seeing the long line of people waiting to be seated. Parking: terrible. I don’t mind walking, but I was with someone who is not very mobile. I quickly dropped them off, so I could park a block away. Luckily, no wait to get a table; unlike another couple who had booked a reservation and there were no tables available when they arrived. My friend and I ordered dishes which had poached eggs. I like runny yolks - but not a fan of runny whites 🙁, which both our meals had ….. as well as the table next to us. Apart from that, the meal tasted nice. Bread was good - but could’ve done with only 1 slice. Coffee tasted burned and bitter. I think value for money is better elsewhere. I wouldn’t rush back for a meal. Highlight were the pastries. I’ll happily get some of those takeaway!

🍣 cured ocean salmon 🍞 harissa glazed ham benny 🥭 mango juice 🍌 pb & banana smoothie 🏠: @willimcoffee 📍: 83 McKinnon Rd 📝: Back at Willim McKinnon for great neighbourhood coffee and food. The perfect place for coffee dates and catch ups. They’re super dog friendly as well so bring you pooch along with you for brunch next time and dine in the courtyard out back or one of the tables out front. They give you cute lil dog biscuits (that they LOVE) when you do as well! ❤️: Loved the Cured Ocean Salmon with fennel cream, orange braised witlof, soft herbs, poached egg and kale za’atar on seeded sourdough. My partner also feasted on the Harissa Glazed Ham Benny with poached eggs, fennel apple slaw, spiced crackling, and tarragon hollandaise on sourdough.
