Bird Box & Co, Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

First time going here since it’s been Bird Box & Co. Called over the phone and ordered two quarter chicken and chips and both wing pieces, young lad taking the ordered re confirmed the order no issues! Pick up, come home and both chicken pieces were leg!! Seriously, how hard is it to get it right especially when you inputting on a computer and re confirming the order! Given it’s one of the more expenses chook and chip joints at least get the order right. Would maybe think one order was right but both orders wrong, when you have kids that only eat wing pieces it’s disappointing to say the least!! Food was ok small pieces as well and chips were nice. I drive by all the time. Took me two years to go in and try. What a waste of two years as I wished I’d tried Bird Box and it’s beautiful ans delicious menu earlier. Wow. Succulent, juicy spit roast chicken. Their salads are fresh, healthy and some of the best I’ve tried. Gravy can be hit and miss for many places but here it’s on target. I ended up getting a scalloped potato portion also. Absolutely delicious. To top it all the lads were lovely, friendly and served with a smile on their face. A rarity in this day and age. My new lazy evening go to for dinner. And a healthy one. Can’t wait to try...

Ordered 5 roast chickens , 4 chips and 11 salads for a work Christmas function at a nearby park. The chicken was probably one of the best charcoal chickens that I've tasted, chips were so crispy and the salad's where fresh and tasty with a good variety ( greek, garden, bean, cous cous , south american slaw, broccoli with feta, potato and more ). You can just tell that these guys really care about what they do b/c everything was cut, packaged and cooked to perfection.
