Wok's N Dumplings (Emerald) — Restaurant in Melbourne

Decided to try out Wok's on Saturday as we didn't feel like cooking and we fancied Asian.

Spent 20 minutes trying to call through but line was constantly busy. Got into car and drove up to the store, two workers sitting outside on break and two in kitchen/on front desk. Can only assume phone was taken off hook so they could enjoy break/didn't want more phone orders as it was after 8pm. ( The whole time we were in restaurant the phone didn't ring btw)

After all this I wasn't expecting much but was VERY, VERY WRONG! Food was excellent!

Wanted pork and prawn dumplings but they were sold out so ordered pork instead as well as vegetable dumplings. Both were beautifully cooked, tender and very tasty. Would have been nice if they came with a container of dipping sauce but we luckily had soy sauce at home.

Char Kuai Teow was also beautiful. (Not too spicy which is what we wanted). Chicken Pad Thai was well received by son who gave it a big thumbs up.

Overall, great addition to the township but staff needs to not take phone off hook or work out why it's...

Never sure why people who take no pride in their product run a business. We ordered and paid online at 8.15 and was given a pick up time of 8.28. Arrived at 8.30 to find them closing up and mopping the floors and received a confused look when I told them I was picking up an order. They found the ticket in the kitchen where it had obviously been overlooked and told me ‘not ready yet, will be 5 minutes’. I then had to wait 15 minute while they started from scratch with no word of apology or acknowledgment they made a mistake. Saw someone grab the frozen spring rolls from the freezer and throw them in the microwave (see the photo for the quality). The wonton and bbq noodle soup had a weird sweet taste to the soup and the wonton wrappers weren’t cooked properly. My chilli beef noodles had about half a dozen pieces of meat in it and no flavour. We ended up throwing the meal out. Not sure how this place is...

Extremely Frustrated!!! I tried calling 3x times to place an order over the phone, as we were driving home & thought we'd pick dinner up on the way past but there was no answer. So I decided to go with online booking option. Placed our order (4 items) at 5.45pm & it said it will be ready at 6.45pm. At 6.15pm I received a msg saying Order DECLINED. Checked our Bank Acc & said No, it can't be declined the payment has been taken out. Tried calling another 8x but again no answer. My partner went in to see why our order was declined & he couldn't get a straight answer. This is just horrible sevice. Why have a phone number if nobody answers & why have an online booking option if orders can just get declined - but you take the payment?!?!? Now to wait & see if/when our money will be refunded.
