I've had plenty of Maccas in my life, and even though it's usually vaguely underwhelming (much like an episode of Seinfeld), I usually have a somewhat positive experience that I'm happy to return to (much like an episode of Friends).
This time, I felt compelled to leave this review, as the burger I unhappily ingested moments ago was so bad that I'm genuinely considering going vegan, so that my taste buds don't ever have to taste beef again and blast my sense memory back to this experience.
I ordered a double quarter pounder. What I received was a regular quarter pounder, and not a particularly appetising one at that. It looked as though they'd found a cow passed out at a house party back in 2017 and decided to cook it up and see what they could make of it.
I went back through the drive through and requested the food I actually ordered. I gave them the old burger back (a mistake, it would soon become apparent) and seconds later received my correct order. Or so I thought.
It was, in fact, the same burger, with an additional hastily stuffed beef patty. The meat was so old and stale that it appeared crusty and grey, and so cold that the cheese didn't even begin to melt. Unenthused with the prospect of returning to the store a third time, I sat in my car and choked down approximately a quarter of what can only be described as the culinary equivalent of a modern Guns N Roses concert; old, unpleasant, stinky, and an unsettling reminder of how good it used to be, and could be again, if anyone involved in the process actually cared anymore.
Sadly, to register my displeasure I would have to physically enter the building, as the drive through had become swarmed with dozens of soon-to-be disappointed customers, happily ordering their meals, unaware of the harrowing experience that was about to befall their unsuspecting taste buds.
Instead, I have taken to the internet, where I am acutely aware this report of my experience will be skimmed over by an underpaid worker, and promptly discarded. Truly, the worst burger I've ever had, by a fairly wide margin.
Gave it an extra star because the dude who served me was...
Read moreThis morning, I went to Mc Donalds Mirrabooka. It was busy so i went to front counter. While waiting for my order i was watching orders being served up, literally standing in front. A girl who was working drive through got a complaint regarding their Sausage Muffin that had cheese in it, this customer obviously opened the muffin to check that's one touch, the girl working drive through also looked and opened it that's two touches she gave it to the manager that was there who also touched the muffin that's touch 3 and then this manager then wrapped it and put it back on the bench with other orders being made. The girl that was getting my order ready grabbed that SAME muffin told the cook to put egg in it and PUT IT IN MY BAG! When i told the girl she was not to give me a muffin that had been handled 3 times she then says "Oh i didn't do that" I then told her i was standing right there and i saw you do it!, you also should have put it in the bin when a customer sends back food you can't re-use it! That's a health risk! the SAME manager then came over asked what the problem was I then told her what i saw an what happened she then called me a LIAR! and said "Oh that didn't happen" i started to get annoyed and told her not to call me a liar and for her to check the cameras! Because i saw them grab the open muffin and touched by 3 people and tried to reserve it! She then replies "the customer didn't open it" Which again is a lie.... I then had to tell her again that the customer in the car can only know if there is cheese in the muffic if she opened it which it was opened form the car and 3 other people including her touched this muffin and rewrapped it! She then finally admitted this was the incorrect thing to do but said "You only had to ask nicely we would have made you a fresh one" I wasn't being rude to her until she called me a Liar! This is disgusting you can't serve people food that has been sent back!!!! I will be contacting head office to deal with this! THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! Do not eat...
Read moreI’d like to share my experience for almost EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to this chain.
It doesn’t matter if I order a LARGE order for the whole household or just myself, there’s always something missing. 99.9% of the time!
Specifically: Sauce & Apple pies.
Countless times have I gotten home only to realise they don’t give me the apple pies. And I’ve had to go back and get them. I don’t get how you can forget a part of the order. I think there might be a fault in the procedure/process of when things get bagged.
it’s always the bigmac sauce! I never! Get given it. I always have to check the bag it’s given to me before I leave the drivethru and then request it again. .. this is usually the main thing on my mind when I check the bag which has made me forget to check for the Apple pie/s, which are missing too.
Either after getting home , or leaving my car in the drivethru waiting bay, and go inside the store, to find that the sauce or apple pies are usually just sitting on the counter ! Forgotten about ????? . Again, maybe there needs to be a change in procedure. As specifically these items (sauce) or (apple pies) are just completely forgotten about and left out of the order.
If the issue isn’t this, it’s always SOMETHING! If not the sauce or apple pies it’s a missing burger , or two.
It’s become a joke how many times I’ve gone back into the store to ask for the things that should be in my order. COUNTLESS times. It feels like a joke. I feel like a fool with how often these things are forgotten.
Thank you to all the managers that swiftly rectify these issues. But it happens WAY TOO OFTEN. Almost EVERY single...
