Definitely the best atmosphere in town and the best views hands down. Such a beautiful spot. Watch out for birds though! A great place for brekkie, lunch and dinner for friends/couples/singles or families as it boats the only 100% outdoor play area for children in town that the kids actually enjoy playing on and being able to run around. The staff are always super pleasant and helpful and the customer service is fantastic. The lunch menu is my favourite and even though the dinner menu hosts lots of items different to elsewhere in town (and all presented beautifully I might add) it would be great if there was more variety for 'regular' food also. Honestly a great experience and my only constructive criticism would be to lower the price of kids meals as $15 for 5 nuggets and a small amount of chips is pretty expensive especially compared to other venues in town and when dining with multiple children. Worth a visit for...

Woods and Irons is a true gem, blending the charm of a country golf club with the sophistication of fine dining. The staff, both men and women, were absolutely fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional; the lamb was cooked to perfection, with a flavor combination that could rival the best fine dining experiences. The fish and chips were a delight, served in generous portions that were both satisfying and flavorful. To top it all off, the lemon tart was nothing short of divine—just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. A perfect meal in every sense! Highly recommend. 5 stars! Perfect...

Venue was nice and lovely view. Some of the meals were pretty reasonable and standard pub fair. However, the sides were incredibly overpriced. My friend ordered two sides- vegetables and potatoes. The potatoes were 6.50- she received one potato (undercooked) cut into four pieces. The side of veggies was also really undercooked (the carrot in particular, and small) Super overpriced for tiny, raw portions. I ordered the veal which was $22 , pretty reasonably priced. However, it was super super over cooked, very average. My side of veges was also undercooked (carrot). Place was ok but sides were a massive rip off and my veal was so...

No longer called Woods and Irons. Now called Sapphires .Best place in Moranbah to have a meal. Good menu and great Specials selection. All meals are good size although the included salad was a bit small . Excellent views from the rear deck. Good selection of tap beers. I recommend coming just before sunset to fully appreciate. I definitely recommend this place & would certainly come back again.

A great spot in Moranbah with breezy views across the open plains to the Northwest from the mostly outdoor dining areas. A good variety of better than usual pub style food with some creative additions that are all quite well presented. I've been here several times and the food and service appears to be consistently decent with table service available as a nice touch.
