Mexicasa Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Moranbah

I'd walked by this restaurant several times and I always wondered whether it'd be good or not. The only thing I am regreting right now is that I didn't enter the first day I saw it.

The food was AMAZING and Vero and her staff are the most welcoming people in town!

Let's start with the food:

Portions are as big as you see in the picture.

Size doesn't compromise quality, my beef was perfectly cooked, tender and soft.

The other appetizers such as the vegetable soup were perfectly balanced in flavour.

Apart from that, Vero and her staff's service was outstanding.

Although, I was only 1 person and they were busy with 6-7 people tables, they served me fast, took care of me throughout my dinner and provided me with tips on what to choose and how to eat it.

I also had a great time chatting and discovering more about Mexican culture with Vero.

Mexicasa is a gem hidden in Moranbah! Can’t express it enough how unbelievably great the food is, and Veronica and Josh’s hospitality is equally unmatched. We felt so comfortable in there, and nothing was too much. Order off the menu or just ask for something unique (or vegetatian) and they gladly accomodate. The chef was very lovely and earnest. The menu is very small and underwhelming but the food we did get was perfectly ok. Her staff on the other hand are such a let down. No one in the restaurant and the slowest service ever, staff just wanting to stand around and talk to friends, cocktails (I ordered different cocktails) were straight orange juice at $27 a pop, like I couldn’t distinguish a difference between the few different cocktails I ordered.
