Explorers Restaurant — Restaurant in Moree

Had a fantastic meal tonight at Explorers Restaurant which is attached to the Burke & Wills Motor Inn. Firstly….WOW…it is not very often I don’t want a meal to end. Entrees were just the start and set off the tone for the meal. The cheese / bacon bread came out quick and was fresh and tasty. Next the Kilpatrick Oysters. They were large, and definitely fresh and some of the best I have had and great value for money compared to city / metro hotels and prices for size / taste. Then the 400g Scotch Fillet. Well, if you ever come to Mooree you need to have a steak at the explorers restaurant! It was INSANELY good. I’m talking up there with top 3 steaks I’ve ever had and I’ve had steaks all around Aus & the world. Melt in your mouth. Cooked to exactly how I asked and tasty meat without any sauce needed. The sauce on the side was also good however. But this steak was a 10/10. Service was fantastic from everyone. Quick, friendly and obliging. Especially our waitress. I do forget her name but she was wearing glasses and nothing was too much trouble and happy to help with menu recommendations. When I am back in the area I won’t eat anywhere else. Oh my God what a gem. This place ticked every box we needed. Food was fantastic. For a place in the west to cook seafood items to such a high quality, and service which matched the awesome food. And not to mention the atmosphere was great and inviting- we didn’t want to leave. Swivel cushion chairs far out. Definitely recommend this awesome restaurant and will definitely be back....

This restaurant is still Moree's crowning gem! A wonderful menu full of great options (food and drinks). All our meals were delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Look forward...
