61 Balo — Restaurant in Moree

Stumbled across this cafe while travelling through and received a delicious meal, good value for money, however the interaction with staff was disappointing. When making the order and giving a name, I noted we would be sitting outside and wouldn't hear their call. There were two tables set up outside under speakers in the warm winter sun, clearly for customers to sit and eat their meals. We waited for twenty minutes, and when I went back in to ask about the food it was sitting on the coffee machine in takeaway containers, lukewarm. The staff could easily see us through the window waiting. The place was not busy - there were three girls behind the front counter and someone in the kitchen to an otherwise empty venue except for a couple of tables outside on a Friday lunchtime. There was no apology and acknowledgement when I was handed the semi-cold food. Don't put tables outside if the staff are unwilling to service them. And staff please, for the sake of the business, treat customers like people and let them know their food is ready if you're not bringing it to them. You're working in a cafe, not...

Tough place to review. The cafe is beautiful, staff are very friendly and well presented, the barista communicated how long the wait would be and thanked me for being so patient, and the coffee is the best I’ve tasted outside of Victoria! Really good coffee! Got the bacon & egg roll, and the bacon & egg were well cooked, but the bread roll was just like one of those cheap ones from Coles. Based on all the reviews and photos, I was expecting something more. It took away from the taste experience unfortunately. Also my wife ordered the bacon & egg roll with hollondaise sauce, but they left the sauce out. Having said that, I would give them another try next time we’re in town. My wife and I are visiting from Brisbane and had breakfast at 61 Balo. I was very impressed with everything about this wonderful Cafe, the staff were all wonderful, with pleasant and friendly attitude, extremely accommodating and created a wonderful atmosphere in the Cafe. The food was very generous in size and of a very high standard and quality, the prices were very reasonably and you get value for money. The Cafe itself, the outdoor dining area and the toilets were all very clean and tidy. I would recommend this 61 Balo to anyone and Everyone that I know. Overall a wonderful...
