Staff member taking order appeared unhappy & wasn’t managing her stresses if that’s what was going on for her. Staff appeared flustered. Steak sandwich was a recommendation from so I decided I’d give it a go. Turns out my experience was disappointing… I waited 40 mins for my meal & was not advised it would be such a lengthy wait. When I received my meal, the staff member greeted me with a nice smile (Dark plated hair with septum piercing) My steak sandwich didn’t have beetroot, bbq sauce and or the oven baked potato slices on the side which was stated on the menu. These missing ingredients actually made the sandwich not so tasteful & quite bland. Don’t get me wrong the Turkish bread was lightly toasted and lovely, presentation decent, portion size was appealing the fries on the side were overcooked & quite hard. The lack of communication about the above errors was frustrating. When I approached the staff member, she got me bbq sauce & stated they ran out of the beetroot. (Um right next door to Woolworths?) For me personally it’s about the customer service. Had the girl not smiled at me when she placed my meal down I would have had an entire distasteful experience. Definitely room for improvement as they take on a bigger space, which means a lot more dine ins which means all staff have to be a team & take ownership of mistakes & work toward minimal mistakes in the future. Customer is paying, so they should be getting the full experience one being that they feel welcome to enter into the cafe, & that what they pay for is what they get unless advised before hand allowing the customer to have a choice as to wait or move on.

Little cafe on the street just up from Woolworths..surprisingly excellent. Glutenfree steak sandwich was very generous in size and great flavour. The cafe would be a 5 star if they worked on their coffee which wasn't fantastic and was not hot. Service was unfortunately a bit mediocre. When I asked for water I was asked in a not very friendly tone if 2 glasses would be enough for 4 people even though she had 4 in her hand because she was obviously saving herself a trip to get 2 glasses for another table. No smiles from this particular person. Not the way to get people back...even with fantastic food.

The first time I went to this place was the other week and ordered a take away large coffee took forever to get a coffee and then I gave them one more shot and took my missus to this place yesterday for breakfast and coffee I ordered the brekky wrap for my missus with BBQ sauce didn’t come with it I also ordered a milkshake for the missus apparently they didn’t take the order I also went to finish my coffee and found a hair in the bottom of the mug. Won’t be going back there again. The staff at on the till have no manners or anything rude and just don’t care about customer service

Palm Cove has taken over the old site of Star Cafe in the Woolworths centre and that's where the similarity ceases. Went in for coffee when it was quiet but had to follow up our order while the young girls out the front chattered away and were packing up. Coffee flavour was not really to our taste and not worth the wait. Can't comment on the food. At least you were given a smile and friendly welcome when you went into Star.

PS: In response to the owners comments: It is a bit hard for kitchen staff to be attending to our order as it was only for two coffees and the coffee machine is on the front counter - not in the kitchen. Glad to know that the staff were happy at the end of the day, but where was the customer service? In fact the young lady that took our order looked at our table whilst packing up and must have known we were still waiting for our coffee. Service at the old...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Palm Cove Cafe, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, with a beautiful decor that instantly puts you in a relaxed mood. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

The menu was impressive, featuring a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various tastes. I tried the signature dish, and it was nothing short of amazing—flavorful, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The drinks were also fantastic, that complemented our meal.

Overall, Palm Cove Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way. From the delicious food to the exceptional service, I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience! Five stars...
