Where do I start. I was served by a man today who watched me look for the kids menu on the main A2 sized menu.. and I after I had said it âlooks like they donât have a kids menuâ (in front of him, he never corrected me) I ordered an adult sized corn fritters for my son. When I sat down there was an a4 sized menu that did have a kids menu so I went back to change it to a kids size, and when I seen the look on this manâs face switch I even added âIâm happy to get a chips on the side to make up for the price differenceâ so he didnât need to give me a refund. He summoned the chef to âsort this outâ and he took his glasses off and started nodding his head in frustration and made a huge problem about how I had changed to a kids size. After they were muttering it seemed like he had said to the chef that I canât have it for myself because she then looked at me and said âThe problem is that weâve got to make sure itâs for the child and not for youâ I said said it pretty bluntly that âitâs for my kidâ then she turned and told him âWell sheâs saying itâs for her kid so we canât say itâs for her when sheâs got a kid with herâ. At this point I was Gobsmacked, I felt accused of being a liar because I wanted a smaller meal for my child. I said âdonât worry about itâ and walked away. The chef then returned and had gave me the kids size corn fritter and $1 change. But it really was too late as this should have been done in the first place. Never again!! Nice way to win your...
Read moreI will say I had high expectations for this Jamaica Blue as with any Jamaica Blue. I expected for a brand like this to have decent staff, coffee and food. The first few times I went here it mostly lived up to those expectations. The food was a bit overpriced for what you got but the coffee was very nice and the staff was super friendly I was excited to have somewhere nearby with nice coffee. A couple of weeks ago I would've rated this place 5 stars.
But the last couple of times I've been here the coffee and staff has left much to be desired. Yesterday and today I've been served by two girls who didn't seem very friendly. Yesterday one of them when making my coffee, gave me coffee that tasted burnt and didn't have sugar in it even though I asked for it. I was unable to finish it. Today, I was considering not going back but I decided to give them a second chance. I was sadly more disappointed after I was given the wrong milk in my coffee, by the same girl as yesterday. Therefore I couldn't finish it either.
I don't want to upset anyone and I understand everyone makes mistakes. But that's still no excuse for bad coffee and service two days in a row. So I suggest you find more than one barista who can make a decent coffee and some more cashier's who actually smile when they...
Read moreDiscusting service. I spent about $70 here on various things, all of it gross and poorly presented- avocado toast was like purĂ©e and cost so much and when I asked for avocado toast without all the bells and whistles on it like bacon and eggs, the girl seemed annoyed about it. When I asked for a salad which was on the menu, they told me they didnât have the ingredients, My kids my kids were just being kids and grab some of the menus and pile them up to the lady yelled at At them to stop instead of giving them some colouring in things or trying to help me at all like they would in good service. I work in customer service and we even have stuff for kids to do while the parents are there. The way the staff was acting. This was a first class restaurant not Jamaica blue also everything is way too expensive again like they think they are first class restaurant. If I could give this zero stars I would. On Sidenote, it seems like none of the staff wanted to be there and we all annoyed every...
