Imagine the best of a nineteen fifties diner and a country cafe that does everything well and you have the Red Rose cafe. We ordered a simple hamburger and an egg chicken lettuce sandwich. Both were served up quickly and were absolutely 😋 delicious. Our host as well as being totally lovely, served up the best chai latte my wife has had in ages. Nice and hot and not too sweet. If you are passing through Moruya definitely with dropping in. ❤️

Came down from Sydney for the weekend and went hunting for early morning breakfast. Classic big breakfast, very tasty and filling, great value, staff were very nice too.

Super lovely enthusiastic service coupled with delicious freshly prepared burgers and steak sandwiches. Traditional milkshakes. Art deco-ish decore.

Stopped in to grab a bacon and egg roll with a coffee, as there aren’t many options in Moruya. We ordered takeaway and were served by a young guy and girl, both of whom were friendly and welcoming.

After receiving our food and drinks, we decided to sit and eat in so we could enjoy them while they were still hot. Unfortunately, the owner didn’t seem pleased about this. She made a comment about wasting money on takeaway packaging and said that if we wanted to eat in, we should have mentioned it.

I understand the 3c of packaging can add up! If the takeaway bags are a concern, it might be worth factoring that cost into the menu prices rather than making customers feel uncomfortable for a simple decision like choosing to sit down.

Definitely will continue driving to the next town for breakfast...

I called and asked what the wait on coffee and food was for takeaway, she said 5 minutes... 40 minutes later.... I'm still waiting. Understaffed, the staff that were there were either slow or don't know what they are doing. Coffee was OK But they had no cup trays... as you can imagine... trying to juggle a bunch of coffees was not ideal. But that's not why I won't be returning.. I won't be returning because of the the dark curly headed girl who was cooking our food... Dropped a piece of bacon on the ground. Then used the tongs she was cooking with to pick it up off the floor and throw it in the bin... I then watched her, go straight over and use them on the fresh food again. No washing, no new tongs. The same tongs that just touched the ground. That is disgusting so I do not...

This was a shocker. Came in for a late lunch today and we decided to split the scones, jam and cream and a toasted ham,, cheese and tomato sandwich. The scones came but there was no cream left. No option given to have something else. Then the allegedly toasted sandwich arrived. Almost cold, with stone cold cheese - completely unrelated - slices in it. Yum. Pretty much left the lot. Maybe they were just having a really bad day. This place is normally okay but it was awful today. One Star...
