2 years ago we visit this place for an occassion that was held there. Its in the middle of nowhere with not much options to go to. We got there way pass lunch time we were so hungry, and eventhou its not dinner time, a very kind chef there noticed how bad we look as he just arrived to start prepare his kitchen for dinner. He dress as a chef and we keep looking at him praying that he say hello to us, and he did. We pour our hunger heart to him and he said he will cook us his famous crackling roast pork, salad, hotchip. We thank him and tell him that we can pay a $100 per plate or pay him $150 for his time, he laugh and said, no need to do that just pay the normal price that come in the menu. His pork belly plate taste heaven and we were never forget it taste and his loving kind warm heart. Every restraunts i visit whereever i go, i think of this chef from Murgon RSL. I usually have a great experience dining at the Murgon RSL. However, last night, for a special family outing, I'm disappointed to say that my meal was inedible. I ordered butter chicken. It didn't meet any of the expectations and the entire table agreed it was as far from Butter Chicken as you could get. We felt as if left over scraps had been seasoned with Curry and blended into a slush. If that was not bad enough, I returned the entire dish (minus 3 mouthfuls to verify it was awful) to the kitchen. 4 staff stood together and listened to my complaint, none offered a substitute meal, a credit voucher or even an apology. My partners steak was done perfectly and I sat and watched him eat it, hoping someone might come to acknowledge my issue. I went home roughly $26 poorer and very hungry. ...

The Murgon RSL is a great stop if you're in town and looking for a quick and delicious dinner. The staff are really friendly and they've always been really quick to seat and serve. Serving sizes are generous and the food is your typical RSL spread, with a good helping of chips and salad with every meal. Kids meals are an absolute bargain, come with colouring in books and ice cream and there's also a great selection of cakes to choose from as well is you want to go the whole hog with dinner...
