I came here with one of my lovely Dimentia customers the other day, she is 88yrs old. I'd seen the place on fb several times & I thought it looked like a really nice place to go & day out with my client given the rainy weather, & she saddly doesn't have many opportunities like most to do things like that. We drove a long way from Burnside, just over an hour & 30mins to get there. Not being familiar with Myponga I initially found the place difficult to locate with the only indication of a Cafe being the table n chairs out front & a very small sign barely visible from the road. On entering the Cafe it felt dark & cold, uninviting ..& it appeared there was not a great deal of seating considering it was getting quite full close to lunch time. None the less we were accommodated with a table once it was separated from another, & I asked if we could be directed to the bathrooms first. We were told the only available bathrooms were at the back of the building & we would need to go back outside in the rain to get to them as acsess through the building was temporarily unavailable. Having accute toileting needs & given her age walking difficulties, my customer & I had no choice but to walk through the rain, mud, puddles & unsafe corroding dilapidated walkway quite some stretch to the toilets. By the time we got there we were both absolutely drenched! Wet & annoyed we decided not to return to the Cafe as my client had become at this point very confused & distressed, so saddly we returned home hungry, cold & wet! I DO NOT recommend! ..in particular if you have special needs, are with someone with special needs &/or are very old or disabled! The walking areas around the establishment are old & badly worn & there are NO safe walk paths, or ramps! This place is an absolute OH&S safety hazard! Soooo very disappointed 'Valley of Yore', 'Yore' actually meaning 'of yester year'! But thank you so much for your snappy & sarcastic explanation when my client was confused about the name being 'Yore' or 'York'! Well done! My one star is for the food, which very saddly we did not get to try, but that looked...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt do reviews. Not bad ones anyway. But time after time this place just makes me feel uncomfortable. The staff here are just rude. So finally Iāve decided to say something about it.
We pass through here regularly as we spend some weekends in the Myponga area. We went in today just after a couple coffees. Wasnāt busy at the time. I think maybe one other customer in the store. Iāve been to Yore a few times and it always feels uncomfortable. So I walk in and say good morning to the staff, trying to be nice, friendly etc. Iām greeted with blank stares. Nothing. The lady who actually took our order was nice enough though.
Our coffees were made and as I left I looked straight at the girls making coffees and said thanks guys! Think I said thank you twice even I just wanted something from them to know that they werenāt pissed off I was there. Still nothing. Blank⦠It literally feels like they donāt want me there. Iām generally not bothered by customer service. Never actually. But this is a such a weird place. Itās such an uninviting environment. Other places just arenāt like this. Then Iām left wondering if they did something to my coffee. I didnāt even really want to drink it. And thatās the problem. We drove to get these coffees and I didnāt even want it after due to service! I get this doesnāt seem like much and if this was a once off I wouldnāt bother but itās like this time and time again. Iām done now weāre not coming back. Thereās a nice little coffee van up the street. Iāll go there from now on. Wish I went there today.
Maybe come to Yore if youāre in the area just to see how strange this...

Extremely disappointing.
We ordered a vegetarian sandwich and despite being there well before close time they advised that the sandwich press had been turned off?!!
The ingredients sounded tasty and we thought that the bread would be fresh given the reviews this place has. The bread was stale and despite the ingredients sounding nice they were nothing more than bottled "marinated" vegetables that were acidic, the eggplant was chewy to say the least and inedible.
The pesto was nothing more than garlic crushed up with spinach because there was no hint of basil whatsoever and the whole thing was saturated in olive oil.
At almost $20 for a sandwich this place was a complete disappointment for me. Happy to have paid that money for a well made sandbo but this was a complete rip off. After a few bites it went in the bin š
The whole food section was a put-off to me as well despite being excited about the range of products there were no scales to weigh what you will buying which I found a little off-putting so I didn't get anything as I didn't know how much it...
