A personal favorite was their extensive selection of pies and pasties, each one baked to perfection and stuffed with quality ingredients to create a heart-warming medley of flavors. While it's impossible to choose a standout from their amazing collection, the egg and bacon roll certainly left a lasting impression. The perfect balance of a well-cooked egg, crispy bacon, and a standout feature - their relish, gave this simple yet fulfilling meal an edge. It was exactly what was needed to start the day right.

Read moreI went to this place to get a almond hot chocolate, I asked them if their hot chocolate was vegan as Iâm allergic to dairy (anaphylactic) they assured me that it was vegan, but it wasnât and I had quite a reaction. When I went back and asked to see the ingredients in the hot chocolate it took quite a while for them to actually bring the box instead of the packet (the packet had no ingredients on it) to show me what I had asked to see. Whilst I tried to explain they were quite defensive insisting they made it correctly.
When they finally brought the box out, after me asking 3 times, I saw right away the ingredients said âfrom milkâ and in the allergy warnings said âcontains dairyâ, they werenât in any way apologetic about the situation which I would have much more appreciated, instead they just looked at me and asked what I wanted to do about it.
They made me feel like I was in the wrong and that I should have apologised for having the reaction in the first place. I understand mistakes can happen but I hope this situation has helped them understand the severity of allergies and they should not be taken lightly.
Thankfully I didnât need to go to the emergency, I was on top of it right away with my epi pen on stand by. Near death experience do...

The Myrtleford Bakehouse is an unassuming and anything but gaudy bakery whose work speaks for itself. Located right on the main drag through town, I'd forgive you for seeing it and driving by.
Inside, the bakery is somewhat plain, but definitely not boring - more to the point, I'd say.
Their baked goods are second to none in the valley. The spinach and feta roll is phenomenal with a touch of chili and a deep flavour profile that punches the palate. The vegetable pasties have a flaky, buttery pastry that is a divine mouth experience. Their pies on offer are fresh and diverse, ranging from potato pies to curry pies to plain Jane beef.
Their coffee is also on point. A complete sleeper of a coffee joint, if you want to skip queues at the cafes in town and get a high quality coffee (with a doughnut, maybe?) then this is the place to go.
As a local, this is our preferred bakery. You will love it as...
