Oh dear..My wife and I were attracted by the funky decor, but what a let down. I ordered a tempranillo and the kiwi lady behind the bar first emptied the dregs of one bottle into my glass and then topped it up from a new bottle. No attempt was made to taste the dregs of the original bottle first. As someone quite experienced in wine, I remarked that the wine was not good, was very non tempranillo-like, in fact almost a bit syrupy and port-like.... and that I'd like to try a freshly opened one. I was told that I had wine from a freshly opened bottle, even though we both saw her pour the dregs in first! It was definitely 'past it'. I then had a taste of my wife's chardonnay and it was of very average quality. In hospitality it doesn't pay to treat people like idiots when you don't know who you are trying to dupe. Very sad showing from ReClaim. It isn't worth serving rubbish just for the sake of making a profit. Not with...
Read moreIt was the worst nepalese restaurant experience of my life. Why??
Called and ordered 40 minute before we reached there but still waited 1.5 hour inside the restaurant for our meal. Portion of our meals was not worth the price at all. ordered thali set, didnot have all the items included in the menu. We asked for it but it came after most of us left the table. Staffs didn’t even cared that we waited for add ons rice for 20 minutes. Owner told that he will bring it in 5 minutes. After 10 minutes he brought the meal (same thali set) for new table in front us but ignored our table. If you guys are selecting this restaurant as a snack detour. Please dont. We stopped on the way to melbourne, and wasted our 2.5 hour waiting to eat burnt lentil and kids portion meal for 40 aud. They don’t care for one time customers. Save your time money...
Read moreA small country wine bar, with great staff, who whilst being very friendly, are also professional in an understated way. The menu is small, but every dish looks carefully selected, and dishes I chose were cooked with consummate skill. The wine list was predominantly (perhaps 100%) local. I had a pre meal Gapsted Prosecco, light and refreshing. With my entree of pumpkin ravioli I chose the unwooded Chardonnay, fruit driven, but elegant, with a good acid balance. My main was a medium rare fillet steak perfectly cooked, and I chose a Tempranillo, which was very nice without tasting like a rioja. I finished off with a small chocolate gelato.
Such a surprise to discover a restaurant with this class in country Victoria. Lovely...
