I went there yesterday and had the worst experience with the food. Me and my family always go there to have some beers at the bar, but yesterday was actually the first time we ate there. We ordered an entree, 2 mains and a side dish. The mains arrived before the entree.
Then, one of the mains I ordered, a āMurray River Black Angus Rib Filletā was completely overcooked (I ordered it medium rare) and well done. And the meat was tough and dry. Unfortunately I had to send back, as that was not what I ordered for $45. Then I had to wait for another steak to be cooked, while my partner was having his food and my side of mash potato was getting cold. I waited patiently as I know that mistakes can happen. My ānewā steak arrived on the table and for my surprise, it was again overcooked. Dry, tough, and the fat was raw. And by the way that cut of meat looked like and tasted, I honestly donāt think it was a āblack angusā rib fillet. It was a piece a rock.
The side of mash potato was grainy, floury and tasted weird, probably made from instant mash and not real potatoes. My partnerās food was okay, but made him sick during the night š I spent $112 on a lunch that does not worth that and came home hungry, as couldnāt eat anything. The staff was embarrassed and kept me offering a free desert, which given the circumstances, I declined as all I wanted was to leave that place. I found out that the owners were on the table next to us, but they didnāt bother to do anything. Iām all about supporting locals, but Iāll never go back there. What a bad...

Drove from Byron Bay, so 40mins or so. Food was terrible, 3 of us didn't even manage to eat half of our meals, including my daughter. She was SO upset that her special dinner was ruined. Her meat was dry and lacked taste, the pork dish was just pure mush! I thought that it was just a fatty part of pork and i would soon 'hit' the meaty part.. the entire piece was the same. I didn't want to ruin the experience so said nothing but then hubby put his knife and fork down, as in he was finished, and I asked him if everything was ok and he then said his meat was mush.. so it wasn't just my serving. Even the crackling was soft, not crispy at all. The waitstaff came to clear the table (clearly we had not eaten our meals) and I told her that the food was inedible and she just asked if we were finished and took the plates. It's almost like it didn't register or perhaps they don't know how to respond but this should be part of their training. Will not return. Money is tight for us so wasting $150 on an inedible dinner is not something...

Just ask for the manager if that size was right for what I paid, he went inside with the calamari and put more salad then I fell so much better. ššš. So funny the place are not busy at all. To make a simple calamari 27-30min and the size is kids meal but was charged adults meal. Tell what you fell about the price of that calamari???. Do not recommend to anyone.
