Capiche Ristorante Understanding the Italian temperment and their passion for food certainly makes Capiche a wonderful place to sit and enjoy lifes small gifts. Walking through the curtains moved by the evening breeze we stand waiting patiently for our waiter to show us to our table. Through the crowded, noisy room we are seated. A table for 2 located on the eastern side with a glorious view to the white capped waves. Children playing on the beach and boats swaying to the oceans music. The evening has started well. Perusing the wine menu a light Italian wine is chosen. Sparkling water is poured and placed on our table. Our waitress asks in a wonderful Italian accent if we are ready to order. The Banqueta 2 Grazie, is the reply!!! Ahhh you have chosen well....Seafood with a large smile!!! Within minutes we have the first course, who knew bread and oil could taste soooo good. This was followed very quickly by the succulent, juicy fat Oysters, lightly seasoned with lemon and a light vinegarette. Palete cleansing. Time to devour the magnificent Tuna Carpaccio, oh my lord, my mouth was in heaven. Little balls of caviar popped delightedly. Yes, there were moans of joy!!! A rest, a few sips of wine, glass refilled, they were on the ball for sure. No don't take the plate!!! Bread used to soak up the spectacular oily juiciness of the Carpaccio. We are drowning in a wonder of food! No complaints with the service, these people know what they are doing!!! Glass is always full and it is done with a smile. Swordfish Liguine, Roasted Pumpkin, the eyes are rolling around and the tongue is dancing. Joy is in the flavour. The atmosphere is alive and well with patrons enjoying themselves. Little lamps are placed on the tables as night descends and turned on, magical. Time for Pizza and Peaches, yep by now the belly is full. But try we must. Desert, oh my!!! Nothing left to say really. 10 out of 10 We have had a most wonderful evening, great food, great company. A restaurant that cares about the food and the people they are serving. Bellissimo!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Gracie Mille to Jacob, Sarah, Jack and Anna for my bday gift.

Hubby, myself and a friend had my birthday dinner here on a recent Friday night. We all had a splendid time and ate great meals. Our waitress was not terribly happy but no matter; we all have bad days and all the other staff were lovely. Friend had the BBQ octopus, and the zucchini flowers; hubby had the woodgrilled pumpkin and radicchio, and I had the swordfish, and we shared a mixed leaf salad. Everything was so delicious - fresh and tasty. Friend had the pistachio gelato, and hubby and myself shared one of those plus a tiramisu. Oh wow, that was the best tiramisu ever! And the cocoa powder on top just added to the sweet, smooth, creamy wonder. The atmosphere is welcoming tho' it is rather difficult to find the restaurant! There are no lights, and only one small sign at the entrance. We almost turned back, thinking we had the wrong building, not being from these parts. Please get some lights and signs! (Hubby felt it was too noisy but I wasn't worried.) Definitely worth a trip down south for us to eat here. I hope we get to come again. Our friend who is a local had a wonderful meal too, she said.

If you want authentic Italian flavors in a stunning setting, this place delivers. Bella, our server, was a standout—friendly, attentive, and made the night memorable. The pizza stole the show: simple, genuine, and full of flavor. The crab lasagne offered a fresh seafood twist, and the oysters, though small, were perfectly lifted by the tangy balsamic-lime mignonette. Dessert? A letdown. The strawberry semifreddo used freeze-dried berries, and the caramel-pistachio combo didn’t pack a punch. We came at night, so missed the ocean views, but the vibe was still relaxed. Some soft lounge music would’ve taken it up a notch. Come at sunset as the ocean views would really seal the deal. Sure, some dishes felt overpriced and uneven, but the service and atmosphere make this spot definitely worth dining at!

This is a long review but a truthful one and one in which I hope the negatives will be acted upon. The restaurant is beautifully situated and has been decorated to a high standard. Our meal was to celebrate a special birthday and our small party of 4 were looking forward to having a genuine Italian restaurant experience. Cocktails were a reasonable price compared to other establishments but the wines were quite expensive. We started with olives with foccacia which had a strange texture. Our Antipasti dishes were all enjoyable, my Carpacchio in particular. One of our mains, the fish of the day was enjoyed although at $39 to have to add a side made it more expensive. Three of us had the Chilli Crab Fettuchini which had a good flavour but it was best described as stodgy with small amount of crab and bulked out with breadcrumbs. The desserts were also disappointing. The crumble was lumps of pastry, the fruit barely cooked. The tiramisu had no coffee or masala soaked sponge as it should have and it was dry under the mascarpone. The waiting staff although extremely pleasant were a little confused as to who was taking orders and they had to come back more than once to check what we had ordered. There needs to be a little more training as to what is required in serving in a what is proporting to be an upper class restaurant. Clearing tables correctly, making sure the correct cutlery is provided. On a positive note, water was replenished regularly. There was only a small choice of main dishes available apart from the Pizza. Very little pasta, where all Italian restaurants normally have a good selection. My daughter had asked if a candle and a Happy Birthday could have been put on the dessert, she was assured it would be but nothing happened and she was told that no one knew about it This is not a big deal but disappointing to say the least. We will probably not return...
