I am absolutely thrilled to share my experiences at North Wall Ballina, a place that has become my sanctuary for peace, tranquility, and natural beauty. This place deserves nothing less than a 5-star rating for its breathtaking views and the unique experiences it offers.
The walk along the North Wall is nothing short of spectacular. On one side, you have the vast, majestic ocean stretching out to the horizon, and on the other, the serene and tranquil lake. The juxtaposition of these two bodies of water creates a unique and mesmerizing landscape that is a feast for the eyes and a balm for the soul.
For those who enjoy fishing, North Wall Ballina offers an excellent spot to cast your line. The calm and peaceful environment makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the simple pleasure of fishing.
But the absolute highlight of North Wall Ballina, and the reason I find myself returning day after day, is the whale watching. Between June and September, I have the privilege of seeing whales every day during my regular walks. There's something incredibly humbling and awe-inspiring about watching these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. It's a sight that never fails to take my breath away, no matter how many times I see it.
In conclusion, North Wall Ballina is a gem that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you're a nature lover, an avid walker, a fishing enthusiast, or a whale watching aficionado, this place has something for everyone. I can't recommend it...
Read moreNorth wall is a great place for a walk. You can either park at Shaws Bay for a long walk or for a shorter one park near the Marine Rescue tower. The river on one side and Shaws Bay on the other. So beautiful. Once past the tower you have Lighthouse Beach on the left where you can watch the surfers. 🏄♀️ On the river side I have seen seabirds diving for fish and occasionally dolphins. Out near the end of the wall you can sometimes catch yachts coming in over the bar which can be quite dangerous. ⛵Last Friday my friend and I saw our first whale of the season. They travel quite far out on their way north but we could see the spray and splash as they breached. There will be lots more in June.🐳 Ballina is a wonderful place to live. I am so glad I moved here over 5 years ago now. I wouldn't live...

Fisherman, dolphins, fish, people birds, trawlers and fishing boats can be seen navigating the bar at any given time. Water dragons litter the rocks. Of course the weather has to be permitting and right now it is whale season and YES if they are out they most definitely can be seen from...
