We were enjoying a pleasant evening at our favourite seaside restaurant. We were celebrating uhh idk it's not important, laughing and chatting while waiting for our what we were hoping to be a delicious meal. The sun was beaming down on to the ballina water glittering the ocean in a sparkling fashion.

As we were indulging in all of our delightful drinks (i got a hot choccy), a sudden rumbling shook the ground. At first, we thought it was just a passing tremor, perhaps from a distant construction site. But the tremors grew stronger, accompanied by distant, booming roars that echoed across the coast.

Confusion turned into panic as people rushed to one side of the restaurant, looking towards the ocean. And then, rising from the depths of the Ballina sea, emerged Godzilla! Its colossal form dwarfed buildings, and its roar sent shockwaves through the air.

My family and I all stood frozen in disbelief, our celebration forgotten as chaos ensued around them. Godzilla's massive feet stomped from the beach towards the city, sending cars flying and buildings crumbling like sandcastles. Panic gripped everyone as screams filled the air, and the once serene day out turned into a nightmare.

My family clung together, seeking safety amidst the pandemonium. They watched in awe and terror as Godzilla unleashed its atomic breath, unleashing torrents of fire and destruction. Ballina, a city that held so many cherished memories for them was now a battleground between humanity and a force of nature.

Amidst the chaos, the we realized the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones. We held each other close, finding solace in our bond as we witnessed the unfathomable power of Godzilla. And as the day wore on, with Ballina in ruins and the once bustling streets now eerily silent, they vowed to cherish every moment they had together, for life was precious and unpredictable.

Why was Godzilla destroying Ballina he doesn't do things like this unless provoked. What's provoking him? I think to myself and tell my family, "I think there's a bigger threat."

I cant really review on food but my hot choccy was pretty darn good. And the service was fantastic, hopefully the waitress is doing well after this. And the atmosphere... well it definitely...

I had the pleasure of dining at Shelly Beach Cafe in Ballina recently, and it was nothing short of a gastronomic delight. The cafe's location is stunning, with panoramic views of the ocean that provide a serene backdrop to the dining experience. But it's the food that truly steals the show.

We started our meal with the Moroccan smashed avocado and haloumi. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, and the Moroccan spices added a unique twist that was both unexpected and delightful. The haloumi was grilled to perfection, with a beautiful golden crust and a soft, salty interior that complemented the avocado wonderfully. It was a refreshing and satisfying start to our meal.

Next, we tried the chilli prawn linguine. The prawns were succulent and fresh, and the linguine was cooked to al dente perfection. The chilli added a kick that was just right - enough to wake up your taste buds, but not so much that it overpowered the other flavours. The dish was a harmonious blend of heat, sweetness from the prawns, and the comforting familiarity of well-cooked pasta.

Finally, we had the falafel. Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, these were some of the best falafels I've ever tasted. They were served with a tangy tahini sauce that added a wonderful depth of flavour.

The service at Shelly Beach Cafe was also commendable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, Shelly Beach Cafe is a must-visit when in Ballina. It offers an impressive combination of delicious food, stunning views, and excellent service. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for a meal - you won't be...

Probably one of the most amazing views for a cafe one could ever wish for. Full frontal rolling surf views as you enjoy something as simple as coffee & a muffin or a substantial lunch or dinner. The staff are wonderful & the views come free
