I always heared only positive feedback about the EBD'light and their best coffee on the Central Coast. But today... it turned into a disaster for a friend of mine. I ordered a lactose free coffee for a young man due to him being lactose intolerant but we learnt later on that they used normal milk which caused my friend to have severe nose bleeding in public. It wouldnt raise much stress over the situation, if the young man wouldnt also have asperger's syndrome. My young friend felt so embarassed and devastated over the whole case. We used to order LF coffee from EBD'light for quite a long time now for this young man. I felt so sorry for my friend (and his parents) and also puzzled as to why would the Cafe worker put LF on the lid of the cup and then used normal milk instead, after I repeated my order twice about the type of the milk to be used. Read moreThis cafe and shop was perfectly placed for a delicious coffee and takeaway lunch by the river. There were plenty of really helpful and friendly staff to make your order quickly. There are ready made filled bread rolls or filled foccacia, special quiches, pies and luscious made to order toasted sandwiches. You can choose your order and can wait outside for it to be passed through the window. There are some other ingredients to buy like bread, dip, freshly shucked oysters in their own fridge. Milkshakes, icecreams and plenty of drink choices available. No seating is provided during Covid times but there are a couple of park bench tables nearby at the river....

They said you can do the return journey with a 30 min break at Empire Bay. I didn't think there was anything AT Empire Bay. But what a treasure this shop is. They do great coffee.
