Well Keith, you obviously weren’t there and the tables you said were available actually weren’t clean. We weren’t asked to change tables and told to eat up and pretty much leave ASAP.
How do you also reply to the rude manager I spoke with and especially the disgusting food that was served?
Im happy to discuss what actually happened and would love to view the CCTV version you say happened and explain what actually happened.
I believe your person (manager) that morning hasn’t been truthful with what’s happened. I had a friend with me that can confirm everything I wrote below.
Was told to sit anywhere, waiter would be with me in a moment. There was only 2 tables available and both 8 seater tables. We sat at table 1 and another table became available with a 4 seater, but wasn’t asked to move. The other 8 seater table was then used by another customer and both the 2 other tables had menus provided, but not us. I went and got menus and after a few minutes the waiter apologised for not taking our order before the others who arrived after us. All good and no issues, they were busy. Food and drinks arrived and within 2 minutes a waiter approached and said they needed the table and to eat and then leave for a bigger group. There still wasn’t any other tables available, so we couldn’t move tables. The food arrived (hangover burger). Fries were fresh, but the burger was filled with oil and everything including the buns were soaked in oil. I only had the bacon and couldn’t eat the rest. We left after 2-3 minutes to pay and when asked how it was, I said it was disgusting. She got the manager and I started to explain and he cut me off and said it was busy. I said can I explain 1st without interruption to express our experience. I explained the entire situation and experience and said are you still going to charge me for the Holiday surcharge? Yes he was and totally couldn’t care less and just wanted me to leave because customers were waiting and didn’t want anyone to hear my complaint. I said I would write a review and he couldn’t of cared less and said go ahead.

Read moreVisiting from Adelaide for a month and finally found a local cafe that served Bonsoy coffee instead of the cheap alternatives. After twelve visits my wife and I thought that we would eventually get a smile from the mature aged lady who seemed to be managing the cafe. Instead we have been subject to agressive and sour behaviour from this woman because we had the boldness to choose to sit outside before being shown to a table by a staff member; even though the outside tables were all empty. Each time she has delivered our coffees she has never said a word to us or smiled when we thanked her. All we got from her was a feeling of contempt and it made us feel so uncomfortable as if we were causing her so many problems. I would recommend that this manager be sent to a course on customer service. The rest of the staff, including the barister were great as was the coffee. It is a shame that our morning coffee experience was spoilt by the behaviour of this one person.
Further to my review….. What a change!!! The very next day was so different from the previous visits to this cafe. The manager had completely changed and was very friendly and curtious and asked how we were and fussed over us. It makes me wonder if she had read my review and decided to act on it and my recommendation about improving her customer service. In any case we apreciate the change and wish the cafe well...
Read moreMy partner and I ate here yesterday. We were given a table, no worries. Waited a little while for food, but that was OK. The food was lovely.. very feeling and tasty. We were asked for cuppas.. but the manager never asked us what size, so I was blown away when we were served 2 "soup bowl" size cuppas. I guess they give you this size automatically as they are the most expensive. The other and main thing was, the manager kept spruiking cheaper for cash to all customers.. so we thought OK, we will pay in CASH. I asked for the bill, was told go to counter say table 2 and CASH. I went to counter, asked for bill, to be told there isn't one... and the cost was $50.80. I asked how much did we save for paying CASH. The lady said I don't know, it's $50.80. After I added up what we had... after being made to feel we would be saving maybe 10% for CASH... We saved a whole 20 cents.. yes 20 cents.. We both felt that this is very deceiving and misleading... And I'm not even sure if it is legal... to not give a bill before paying for goods/ services. We felt, The whole idea of paying CASH and not getting a bill is just a ploy of putting CASH into their till (pockets). It's a shame, because that put us off wanting to go back again.. as that's the part that left a Bad taste in...
