Gloria Jean's Warilla — Restaurant in New South Wales

It was on a Thursday, 17 July 2025 between 1:30 & 2 pm, I was about to order, when the tall lady at the counter said that the wait will be about 10 minutes or so. I asked why? She said they were one staff short that afternoon and cannot accommodate more orders. I thought that where there were 3 ladies working, and with some spare tables yet empty, the work wasn't really too much. I've been a loyal customer of this shop since 2017 when I moved Shellharbour area. I was appalled on how that lady spoke to me in a manner like shunning me away to reduce their load. Surely that wasn't a nice manner. I'm thinking there are three actions the owner of the store could do: either give the workers extra renumeration when there's staff shortage, or sending them to training school to improve their character on how to handle additional pressure, or better still consider relieving that tall lady...

The store has a very Starbucks style feel these day. I ordered a redbull raspberry drink. The flavour was great and it did what was needed. The container was plastic which is a little out of date if we are having it in store. The flavour was good, it was great tasting. My mother had her coffee is a big mug. It was good. It's mainly a morning tea store.

Waited around for it to open since 8:45am when nothing was happening by 9am, doors were closed no lights on and two disinterested staff chatting inside ignoring us standing outside we decided to try Cafe El’s which was busy with about 25 customers.
