What a truly amazing find in the centre of Copacabana is this amazing recently opened Italian Pizza restaurant. This is what every suburb needs!!. Franco is a lovely man who takes pride in everything he does! His restaurant is perfectly situated with a lovely ambience and his pizzas are as authentic as you can get. Fresh ingredients imported from Italy and cooked to perfection. The pizza dough once wood fired baked is tasty and light and fluffy with a crust and base that has a little crunch!! Truly perfect! His Italian meatballs in a rich tomato sauce is superb and then the tiramisu dessert is mind blowing. Franco is a business owner who has the attitude of keeping his customers happy and will recommend a dish/dessert or wine that he feels would suit that particular diner with no concern about money being the priority!! My wife and I stayed at the restaurant for approximately four hours and had the best experience with Franco, his staff and meeting his regular customers. Absolute sensational restaurant in every aspect and as an Italian myself the food is as authentic and tasty as you will get!! Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning...
Read moreIncredible atmosphere and the food was well worth the spend. I attended with 11 other friends with the only issue being a lack of comfortable seating resulting in us being tightly packed around a table.
Apart from this, the interior felt true and authentic with us having a direct view of the pizza oven while being surrounded with warm and comforting lighting above. The service was great with very good responsiveness and interactions of which all were very kind and friendly which really solidified the experience for my group.
The pizzas we ordered were like none I had tasted before with a very wide selection avilable on the menu with extra daily special pizzas also being available. The presentation of the pizzas was simple and effective being served on a large plate, allowing my group to share around multiple pizzas.
My group left well fed and was incredibly satisfied with the main pizzas, althoguh the nutella pizza did not live up to what we expected and had a harder base than anticipated. Overall, an incredible experience and well worth visiting if you're...
Read moreFirstly, we weren’t expecting anything more than ok. A busy place on an early Sunday evening in March - families/locals. A bottle of Italian Merlot, poured with no opportunity to taste, just served firstly for my wife - that’s ok. But the table water ordered at the same time didn’t arrive. Eventually I went to ask for it and a man delivered the jug of water (without offering to pour).
Starters arrived; meatballs - cold in the middle - need a more powerful microwave methinks). Flavoursome 🙂
Suddenly realised there was a specials board that hadn’t been mentioned, my wife fancied the salad and the waitress happily changed the meal 😃
Mains arrived - pizza ok, salad good.
The place could be amazing but doesn’t seem to be making the effort. The table next to us commented on a dish being cold - the proprietor was anxious to point out the dish could be taken hot or cold. Ok then, why not state that on the menu - just saying...
So overall, for 2 hungry Brit travellers, it...
