one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had.
After ordering, we sat at the only available table and politely asked the waitress if she could clear and clean it. She never returned, so I had to get up and ask again. This time, she directed us to take the cleaning spray and a filthy used cloth to clean the table ourselves.
A few minutes later, two of the four coffees we ordered arrived. When the waitress placed them down, we asked for sugar. She said yes but, as you guessed, never brought it, leaving us to get up again to fetch it ourselves.
We finished the two coffees, but the other two didn’t come. When we asked, it turned out they had forgotten to make them. At this point, I noticed the kitchen using low-quality plastic-like cheese for the food, so I checked whether our food had been started. Thankfully, it hadn’t, so we cancelled the order and requested a refund.
To make matters worse, they refunded the wrong amount, and I had to correct them. There was no apology or curiosity about why we cancelled the order—just indifference.
This is truly a case of “you get what you pay for.” The staff lacked any understanding of hospitality, defined as “the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests.” If there were an award for the worst café in Australia, with staff who would clearly rather be anywhere else, these guys would...

I have read reviews on the lack of customer service here and have to agree. 2 staff members putting stock away and did not acknowledge me for some time before taking my order. The ‘pulled chicken tacos’ were tasty however it was chicken pieces out of a packet, slaw out of a packet and covered in sauce. I could have made these at home myself after a trip to woolies for much less than $16. The person I dined with ordered French toast with banana and maple syrup. The French toast had pieces of onion grilled into it obviously from a dirty grill. So, we may return for a coffee, but won’t pay to eat here again unfortunately. I stood there, the guy that wore glasses saw me standing there to pretend he was busy and ignored me, another girl was on her phone while the other 2 staff members were genuinely busy. Was waiting to not even be acknowledged, and because of the ignorance of staff, I left. Went up the road and was acknowledged straight away. Edit: Seeing a customer to then ignore them is rude. He then went on to pretend he didn't see me. The blonde lady was on her phone, so training does not justify this behaviour. You are only training an employee if what poor customer service is. It takes 5 seconds to say "We will be with you shortly". We have 3 businesses, my direct business has only 5...
