RawR Coffee Roasters and Eatery- Shellharbour — Restaurant in New South Wales

Very disappointed, the place was unorganised and overall a mess staff everywhere! The order was not listened to correctly, we spend $90 on a chorizo wrap which was missing the chutney and was dry , the breakfast burger which I cannot complain about other then the aioli was forgotten I let a staff member know and she took my burger to the kitchen bought it back and said “he said that there was written no sauce” I said well the burger on the menu has on it aioli she apologised and took it back and bought it back with the aioli it was just frustrating why the chef didn’t just put it on when I sent it back? My iced caramel latte came hot after being ordered as iced and even mentioned 2x, when I told her she took back, I watched the encounter with the barista whose whole face looked disgusted and said to the young girl you can take the machine over it’s an extra $2.50 for iced , which obviously I’m happy to pay for what I had ordered, it was just how the situation was dealt with and especially spending so much money. My food came well before my partners , then the hasbrowns took a further 10 minutes it was a joke. Editing because I don’t know how else to respond to the reply, that isn’t true better communication within your staff is much needed in your establishment. My partner knows exactly what he ordered and it was iced caramel latte from the beginning, it was also no egg add haloomi and chutney never was no sauce mentioned. 15 minutes later is a massive stretch from when we ordered the hash browns but $15 for 3 hash browns is also daylight robbery. I will not be back look in the end I enjoyed my coffee and my burger but not after having dramas with both and just straight up stingy making that young girl come over and ask us for another 2.50 for her mistake of taking the order wrong mind you as I mentioned we spent $90 and had multiple mistakes what about the haloomi bought out after I started eating my burger as that was forgotten as well the place was over populated with staff but yous have no organisation...

RAWR Shellharbour boasts in house coffee roasting and quality meals, there has not been a single local within the Shellharbour Village Area that has not had a good experience with their food or drinks.

However, RAWR should not only be praised for their ability to make coffee and quality foods. The customer service and hospitality fronted by the owner Andrew, presents a taste of locality to all that pass by.

When RAWR first arrived in Shellharbour, there had been a number of predecessors that had vacated due to an inability to engage with the local market, this was partially due to other cafes holding a larger share of the community. RAWR presents themselves as a locally owned, community valued business, this is why I will be returning there for years to come.

For a Cafe' (one that is situated within a large hospitality presence) to not only focus on goods and product differentiation but also to the service of people is a testament to their business and character.

Thanks Andrew and team for always catering for myself and everyone else that travels your way, this is what I believe is needed from local businesses within such crazy time, genuine and respectful people that are willing to just sit and talk to customers, get to know them. This seems like such a small thing but it makes the difference in peoples days, this not only creates a sense of community but also achieves long term benefits and...

The Good: Love this little gem! RawR Shellharbour is a great little café right on the main strip. Coffee? Always delish. Food? Plentiful, full of flavour, and really well priced. It’s my go-to spot when I’m heading down south to stay with friends—no visit is complete without a stop here for my coffee fix.

The Standout: Honestly, it’s the three young boys that work there. Not sure if they’re the owners’ sons, but they are absolute legends—so polite, super attentive, and clean up better than some adults I know! Watching them navigate busy outdoor seating areas, carefully carrying trays of coffee without spilling a single drop? That’s talent. And heartwarming to watch.

Would I Return? Every time I’m in Shellharbour—without fail. Always reliable, friendly, and a great vibe.
