I walked in to a near empty restaurant and before I ordered the server let me know it was going to be a 10 minute wait, which I said was fine as I had 20 minutes to spare before I had to leave for an appointment. However that wasn't the case. I sat down a one of the nearby tables (all of which were covered in rubbish and plates with left over food). I continued to wait and ended up walking out 30 minutes later with my drink and food. The drink had too much ice put in it and the food had been sitting on a plate for 10 minutes then when it was pointed out it should have been taken away, the server picked it up off the plate and put it in a bag. This meant that the chocolate drizzle that had already been put on it now stuck to the bag instead of on the food. I was expecting the donuts to taste of cinnamon as that's what the server told me they were, but they had no flavour to them at all and with minimal chocolate, just didn't leave a great impression. Really sad as I usually have an okay experience but lately service and food have gone down.

We waited in line for 15 minutes, no one was at the counter - the line was at a stand still for 15 whole minutes. When we finally ordered we asked what their dairy free, gluten free options were. We were informed that it was simply strawberries. Therefore we paid $4 for a side of strawberries (with our waffle plate). When the waffle arrived, we had a rude awakening as our side of strawberries turned out to be a SINGLE strawberry, that was cut into quarters (maybe in an attempt to make it seem bigger). That equates to $1 per quarter of a strawberry. While we were in line to complain about said single strawberry, we waited another 10 minutes. Oh and we waited and hour an 10 minutes for a chai latte, that simply never came. On a happier note I would like to give a massive shout out to Azzy. She was under the pump but treated all of the customers with care and enthusiasm. She apologised profusely about the wait even though it was out of her control.

What a disappointment 😏 there was plenty of staff standing around chatting and three people already dining in.The girl taking our order looked miserable and was not friendly at all. We ordered three single serves of the Tutti Frutti and two bottles of water total cost $81.87. We were directed to take a seat and they would bring the waffles to the table. Unfortunately we could not find a clean table or a clean non damaged chair/booth, the dust sitting on the light fittings was terrible. The waffles were definitely nothing to brag about. I am shocked that they have no standards and the owners and staff are clearly okay with allowing the customers to sit in this filth and charge a hefty amount to do so. I would avoid this place 👎

My partner and I have been coming to this restaurant for a few months now and are usually satisfied with the service...to an extent. While the food has often outshined some of the less favourable aspects of this cafe, tonight we were pretty shocked by the last straw. But before going into that, it'd be worth mentioning some of the other issues first.

To start, we usually like to have our meals with a cup of water to go with it but always have to look at every single cup next to the tap to find just two relatively clean cups. They're usually marked with left over chocolate crusts from previous meals which is really off-putting.

Then, whenever we seem to dine-in, the restaurant seems to be poorly rostered with staff. Often there are not enough people to handle the day-to-day traffic, let alone a busy Saturday night. When we rocked up to the restaurant on this final day, there were close to 50 people in the store. All being served by a maximum of 4 people in store.

Next, we're beginning to think that the priority of this business is to save money than to look out for the customer. I understand that this is favourable to boost any business but when we repeatedly have to take our meals back to have a relatively decent serve of chocolate, we're often met with a bit of attitude from the management.

Finally, and this is what was the final straw, we came in on a Saturday night just wanting two chocolate licks (which we had purchased strawberries for already) to be told by staff that due to the busy nature of the restaurant that night, all orders would be delayed for 30-40 minutes. Now, if we were dining in, we'd totally understand, and even for a take-away we'd be willing to wait a bit longer too. But for two chocolate licks it just seemed to be in poor management. It doesn't make any sense that drizzling some chocolate that is already in the buckets into two small containers takes more than half an hour to do - especially since take-away orders naturally take priority over dine in regarding time taken. Customers that are dining in do so for the reason of taking their time, talking etc. I do not see why the licks couldn't of been prepared in as little as one minute while the other staff were attending to the other dine in orders. If multitasking is such a simple request, yet is so difficult, it puts in question the management and priorities of this store. Any store can be good in quiet circumstances, but what makes them more credible is how they handle the heat when it gets busy.

In essence: Low Cleanliness, Poor Prioritisation of Time, Low staff numbers on most nights, and Poor leadership/Management when it comes to serving the customers needs.

Probably won't be back for quite some time. I hope it picks up in it's management...

after waiting for a month and refund hasn't been sorted out with tuggerah max brenner store so I need to give a bad review for customer service and share my story as We are regular customer of max brenner and we loved the quality but on 17th of March we went to the Tuggerah max brenner central coast and had ordered crape cake which cost 15.99$ but after 5min staff came telling that they don't have creap cake available so we change to kids waffle for my kid which cost 12.99$ and we had ordered other food and coffee with that. Staff didn't bother to ask for diffrance money so after finish food we had ask at the counter and staff said they can't refund only diffrance so we need to pay for kids waffle and they will refund creap cake money within 3 to 5 business days . I paid extra 12.99$ for kids waffle and left the store with trust. After 2 weeks I was checking my online banking and realised that I haven't received that amount 😳 so I went to the store as it's 30min drive from my home and staff said again they will give details to the store manager 😑 and they will give me a call on Monday as store manager was not there because of Sunday again I trust and left the store . After wait for a week I went on Friday 4th of April to see store manager if I can get my refund of 15.99$ back store manager said that staff haven't done refund email as it's a new system so they don't know but they had email today 4th of april and I will get my money within 3 to 5 working days. I had given my mobile number and email address to the store manager and now after waiting for a week haven't received any email,call or my money which is very...

Changing my previous 5 star review due to the now outrageous prices and quality of dessert items changing for the worse. Over the last few months over a few occasions, my mum has brought home takeaway desserts for this store. they definitely don’t taste as good and the quality is not there anymore for the brownie, soufflé and tirimisu (which is so sad because they used to be so good!) 😢When we asked them about the recipe changes, they said something about supplier issues and those desserts are now being made elsewhere (hence the recipe changes). The last time I went myself, I ordered 2 takeaway waffles and was surprised to be charged $26! I didn’t realise until I was scanning my card to pay. The person at the counter doesn’t verbally tell you the price when you order. I also realized as I was walking out that I didn’t get given a receipt. When I asked the guy at the desk about the price, he said something about prices going up and a surcharge (on a Wednesday?) luckily the recipe for the waffles hasn’t changed, that’s the only thing I’ll bother ordering now, as a special treat every now and again. $26 for two cold takeaway waffles ($13 each) is a bit much. There are so many recent negative reviews of this place. I wonder if management are...
