Moon Sushi is located in a prominent spot at Shellharbour village centre, it’s the first restaurant on the corner of Mary & Addison Street. Everyone loves Japanese food and if you can’t decide what to eat being the first restaurant heading into the village makes it a simple choice.

The sushi house does not have a sushi train nor do they offer ramen. Ordering needs to be made and paid first. The food is average, bit overpriced priced and portion is somewhat small. For example, the Teriyaki salmon meal was served on a huge square plate, with rice, salad and salmon one on each corner with one corner left empty (there’s more plate than food!). Please note sauce is not free, it’ll cost you $1 if you need other types of sauce other than soy.

The worst part of the restaurant is their hygiene, all the surfaces including tables and floors were covered in grease, you could almost slide your way to your seat.

While Moon sushi might be the local Japanese restaurant, there’s nothing special on the menu that I would see myself revisiting them...

We came in a big group and tried various dishes. Food was less than average. Saw the lady cough as we came in but we felt bad for already entering the store, so still ordered. Could see the male chef behind wiping his nose with the top of his gloves. When the food came, it was presentable but tasted terrible (especially when you compare to the numerous Japanese restaurant in Sydney). For example, the miso soup was too salty. The avocado in the sushi was under ripe so it was bitter, and the bugogi is dry. The yakitori chicken was over marinated with soy (overly salty and chicken did not taste fresh). The crab claws was soooo bland. I would not recommend this place due to the poor hand hygiene. Regardless of the taste you're at risk of getting sick, as they do not take food safety seriously. You'll also come out with...

Moon' sushi in shellharbour is a welcoming restaurant that serves very delicious food! The staff were super friendly and the service was prompt.5 stars to the staff for their customer service. It was so kind of the team member to give us a free miso soup with a kind note attached! This is the first time such kindness was shown to me from a dining establishment. Im so greatful. I called them to thank her.We already loved this restaurant and now we do even more. Caters for vegetarians as well. We highly recommend this restaurant. Our branch in canberra has sadly closed but when we visit Shellharbour next time we will be sure to...

Moon's Sushi is only a short walk away from the waterfront and an easy parking area a street away located on a prominent corner in a great restaurant hub. We sat down to a quiet dinner. We ordered Curry Katsuカレーライス, Bibimbab 비빔밥, takoyaki たこ焼き(octopus balls/dumplings) and grilled sushi. A very tasty meal with a wonderful array of flavours served with a bowl of miso soup. The staff were very friendly and service was quick.

Came here the other night for the first time. We ordered the family sushi and sashimi boat between my boyfriend and I and we finished it, we are massive sushi lovers. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The drinks were not too bad but we may not get them again, we enjoy trying new things :) The staff was friendly and kind. We will return again. Thankyou for having us :)
