My wife and I had a delicious meal at the Moon Dragon Chinese Restaurant this evening. Even though we arrived quite late the staff made us feel very welcome and made our dining out experience a special evening. My wife chose the beef with cashews and I chose the schezuan chilli chicken. The meals were very tasty, with generous sized servings and all very reasonably priced. The restaurant is licensed and again reasonably priced. I am quite happy to pay for the skills of the chef but I don't respect restaurants that charge over the top for drinks when their sole contribution is to remove a screw top cap. Thank you to the owners of the Moon Dragon for being fair and not taking advantage like this. In summary, I can highly recommend this restaurant for its great food, wonderful service and modern decor for a perfect evening and break from your own kitchen 🙂🙂 Sorry for the less than professional photo. We couldn't wait...

On the recommendation of our local host, instead of heading into Coffs for dinner, we went slightly north to Moonee Beach to this little gem. Rather than the usual red-infused country Chinese decor, we found a modern, casual setting with black subway tiles, wallpaper mural, string lights and blonde timber. (Just FYI, it is in a Coles shopping centre, but a proper restaurant.) The menu was succinct, but the dishes delicious. (Although the headings traditional and fusion made no sense to me with some regional Chinese fare listed as fusion.) The chilli we ordered on the side was the no-holds-barred-knock-your-socks of variety and it had us quite literally crying in heated delight! The pepper beef, Sichuan chicken and salt and pepper squid were all beautifully presented and tasty. The wine list was adequate and cheap. Food also well priced. What a lovely find when overnighting on the northern side of...

Never open during lunch. Do not rely on open hours as they just make it up as they go. Have driven there many times and it's a lottery if they can be bothered to be open. Lunch hours is not 11:30 to 2:30 as advertised on their menu or online. Gone there many times at 12:00 or 1:00 and they have closed doors and lights off. On the off chance they are open they seem to serve good food. Such a waste of time driving there for nothing. l keep giving them another chance but this is now 12 months ongoing and have lost me this time cause they are in the restaurant with lights off and closed doors. If they can't be bothered then l can't be bothered spending my...

Pretty good Chinese. I lived in China, so I've had these dishes A LOT these aren't what I was expecting, well not 北边的菜 (Northern Style). Possibly Malaysian Chinese? I have NEVER seen peas, carrots & corn in 麻婆豆腐 (Mapo Tofu)!真的吗?不行🙅。Also the 小茴香牛羊肉 奇怪 (cumin lamb, was weird I was hoping for something like 羊肉串 lamb kebab style). All in all OK, 还行吧。 If you want the Chinese dishes ask for the green menu! 😊
