Old Bar Village Cafe — Restaurant in New South Wales

We drove from Port Macquarie to have a nice fathers day breakfast somewhere different before going to watch the footy. They were busy but managed to get a waitress attention to take our order-

Unfortunately we waited over half hour for 2 coffees, 2 milkshakes and a juice then 10 minutes later followed by our meals. Everyone had there meal other than the dad of the family, (ordered a big breakfast) only to then follow it up and find out it hadn't even been cooked and they had missed it all together. Everyone else's meal was just about finished, we didn't want to have to wait even longer so we told them not to worry about it. They seemed understaffed to be fair. The owner (maybe) did say when we paid our bill sorry about that. Very disappointing that he was the one who missed out considering it was for fathers day. Food was ok....

Firstly the food and coffee was quite ok. BUT...

There was a huge issue with this cafe. I dont know if this woman was the owner or worker, but not only was she high on drugs she was on the phone organizing a deal of more drugs while in a work uniform standing out the back. Because the "last lot she scored was such good s#1T but she finished it just before work, she wanted to organize another half ounce for when she knocks off".

I was absolutely gobsmacked! I work with council in relation to OH&S, and if an accident happens in that cafe effecting staff, the customers or the building due to staff on drugs it's not going to end well.

Eggs Benedict is what seems like a supermarket croissant made very soggy by the wet poached eggs and a few wet spinach leaves for $19.50. It was missing the grilled tomatoes and when we told mentioned this we were told it was just a garnish and we never got them. The service is very disorganised. There were four wait staff but they were inattentive and we were constantly trying to get their attention. We finally managed to request a coffee and the waitress said they had to come back to take the coffee order, but never did. I don’t think this cafe is worth going to.
