Red Rooster Coffs Harbour South - Service Centre — Restaurant in New South Wales

My Wife & l both want to give a (belated - our apologies!) big shout out & four thumbs up to staff member Brody/Brodie, after our positive experience in store on the night of the 17th of September 2023. We showed up about half an hour before closing time & headed inside to order Take Away. Not only was the store clean & tidy... but Brody was engaging, friendly, patient & accomodating - in our rush to get inside, Hearing Aids & Glasses were left in the car by mistake. Our order was not only taken & prepared so efficiently, it was also spot on despite our rush & initial indecision (which was helped by Brody's knowledge, as we don't have Red Rooster in our area & it had been a while since visiting one!)... but it was clearly fresh & made with care - & stayed in that state/hot until we made it back to our accommodation across town. The whole team were professional & hard working, but also working as a team - there was no foul language or goofing off happening, as we've prior experienced elsewhere towards closing time (so we were pleasantly surprised!). The store owner should be proud, & proud to have an asset in staff member Brody. We will absolutely come back when next in Coffs. Thanks, mate! Thanks, team!...

Don't know how they got the order so wrong. Had to turn the engine off on my car as the girl said she couldn't hear me very well apparently after trying to order multiple times. Ordered the Red Hot Satisfryer and asked if I could swap out the Pineapple Fritter for Onion Rings to which she said the system couldn't make the change which is fair enough. When I went to pick up my order she'd obviously made the meal as a was handed a bottle instead of a can large which didn't mind but was $3 or so more. Got my order and drove all the way back across town to my motel only to find I'd only been given the chicken and mash potato gravy as well as the drink. No chips or pineapple fritter, no spoon (but lucky there was a teaspoon for tea & coffee in my room) and no serviettes. For some reason there were two little buttermilk wings in the box that weren't part of the meal but that didn't make up for the missing items. Maybe you need to retrain your staff. And don't bother posting your cut and paste response...

If you're in the mood for Red Rooster, then keep driving straight past this particular store. The food here is nothing short of offensive. Our chicken pieces were served cold, burnt, chewy and dry. Our Rooster rolls were equally disappointing; also served cold, the bread rolls were stale and chewy. There was barely any chicken on the rolls and the chicken that was on them was so dry and stringy. We had to throw the whole order away as it was completely inedible, even our dog refused to eat it. To add further insult to our experience, we waited a long time in the drive thru, even though we were the only car there. I felt violated every time I saw a Red Rooster store during the remainder of our trip to Queensland. That's huge for me because I normally love Red Rooster and prefer it over other fast...
