Hubby & l have been a member of Seagulls going on 30years, we have seen the club changes in that time (l'm sure we own part of it!!) Staff have come & gone, but you couldn't ask for more friendly, courtious, kind, caring, respectful, & there are quite a few who go out of their way-to really give time & effort & support-well done !! Read moreSeagulls is an alright place for a local club, but its not on the same level as the nearby Twin Towns. Drink prices aren't too bad, They have your TAB, Pokies etc. Poker nights weekly, membership cash draws and all your standard club stuff. They hold outdoor family events a few times a year with fireworks, carnival rides, food trucks etc which are alright for a family afternoon out. There is a buffet and an A la Carte restaurant. The buffet is OK, it has actually been declining in quality since they first opened though. Lot 2 is the other restaurant and is pretty decent for a club restaurant, they have some very nice wood fired pizzas, club staples and a few other items that mix it up a bit. Decent steak but not great. There's a gym attached to the club but not included in the membership. My wife goes and thinks it's alright. There is a kids indoor play centre called Tabatinga. It's one of the better ones we've been too. Not included in club membership but fairly priced. They have a putt putt course as well and a foam ball gun arena. Kids parties are pretty good, so nice to have it all taken care of for you and not too pricey either. They have various sporting clubs as well which I...

As new migrants in Australia, we felt singled out and spoken to in a way that made us uncomfortable.
Later, when my mother-in-law quickly followed my toddler towards the restaurant, the same guy stopped her and told her she needed to register first, again in an unfriendly tone. We completely understand that rules must be followed, but the way things were communicated lacked courtesy and understanding.
It would have made a big difference if he had spoken more politely and explained the process in a way that helped us feel welcomed instead of judged. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this left us with a...
