Went to drive thru and ordered a simple triple cheeseburger meal with a coke no sugar and requested fresh fries. The girl at the payment window was rude and didn’t even acknowledge my request for fresh fries. Upon getting to the next window to receive my order, the manager was distracted hanging out with his friends in the store despite the fact the store is supposed to be closed and drive thru only. It took nearly 8 minutes to receive my order and the staff repeatedly ignored the kitchen and fryer alarms. When I got my order I confirmed with the male manager if the fries were fresh and was rudely told mmm yep. I checked them and they were cold, covered in excess oil and no salt and most definitely were not fresh! I went back through the drive thru and waited another 10 minutes to explain the issue and was rudely spoken to by the male manager when I explained that he had lied and the fries were not fresh and I had also been given normal coke and not coke no sugar as I had ordered. He was rude and uninterested and then snapped at me that he didn’t care to help despite me asking for the fries and drink to be replaced with what I had originally asked for. He stormed off and the girl came over to do the new drink which was replaced with exactly what I had asked them not to give me. So it was not coke no sugar and when I asked for the managers name so that I could make a formal complaint given the arrogance and rudeness of the staff the male manager and girl mumbled slurs under their breath and said no and then slammed the window shut.
A formal complaint has been made through the feedback website and a phone call to head office will be made today!
What a disgrace!
As a former employee of McDonald’s, I can truly say that the customer service is disgusting and the trainers should be ashamed of themselves letting staff get away with the arrogance and rudeness.
Maybe instead of caring more about letting your mates in when the store is supposed to be closed, dancing around the kitchen, giving your mates free food before the customers paying for it, you would have better feedback.

Read moreWe thought we would just go a little further than the usual Maccas for our coffee and drove to Thornton. There was only one person in front of me and a couple of cars in the drive through, so ordered a 3 hash browns and 2 ham and cheese pockets. BIG MISTAKE. After waiting only 3 or 4 minutes for our coffees, we then waited at least 15 minutes for the hash browns. When I asked how long will it take a young lady kept saying they are busy and it will be coming. In the meantime I watched the staff make up at least 6 cars orders including MANY happy meals. One person that was in front of me then received his order. The coffees were cold by this stage, but I wasn't game to ask for fresh ones. Eventually we did receive our order and there was no "sorry about the wait" it was just the manager standing at the preparation desk making comments and laughing with the staff about the amount of people that were now waiting approximately 20 people by this stage. I took our order outside to the car and attempted to leave, in amongst the dozen odd cars that were now waiting in the queue for drive through Another woman after me asked for her money back and got the wrong amount and had to go back in a second time and wait.
