Went in as a Doordash delivery driver on Tuesday 4th October 2022 at 8pm. Only a manager and one crew member were working at the time. Neither person asked me what I was there for, and after 2 minutes of waiting I told the crew member the order number and name of the customer I was delivering for. They said it wouldn't be very long and started on some other orders. After about 10 minutes I spoke to the manager and showed them the order name and number. They said they were just waiting on fries. At 8.25 (about 10 mins later) I got the managers attention again after waiting at the front counter for atleast 5 minutes. I explained to them that I'd checked all their order screens and couldn't find my order anywhere on them and asked where exactly it was. The manager then explained they don't stock the items in the order (spicy nuggets) and that it hadn't come up on their screen because of this. I was offered no compensation for my 1/2 hour of wasted time that I could have been working on other orders, and given no apology for the mess up either.
There were multiple people in the store during the time I was there that walked away unhappy.
I understand how stressful it can be working in that environment, especially with it being understaffed - I don't want to see the manager or crew member fired or anything like that, but they need to be a little more on their game, and actually check what orders people are waiting on, rather than just giving a blanket statement...
Read moreService is below average, was told something wasnt available at a discounted price from the manager to the customer service lady at the counter while we were standing right their in front of both of them, asked if we still wanted the meal, obviously we did and not that we asked. Than once we received our meal, we sat down, realised we were missing one of our chips, went back to get the order sorted, had the customer service lady and manager look through the bag, look at the receipt and look outside where we sitting, implying we were lying about our missing product.. No apology, gave us the product with a minimal amount of chips and than turned around and ignored us. We used our manners, understand these things happen in a fast food chain and courteously asked to have our product supplied that we had paid for, only to be treated as if it was our fault? Could do with some training on the customer service front and proper order line management. Sadly not the first time we've had an experience like this, it would be third time in a row. Beware, if you want attitude with a smile, slapped together food and incorrect orders by all means, eat here. If not, spend the extra 10 minutes to go to hexham or king st McDonald's. You are a lucky I'm a sucker for a...
Read moreLiterally have never got an order correct here. Also don't bother ordering vanilla coke, they will just give you normal.
Update to my last post. Just don't go here. Unless you genuinely don't respect your body and what goes in it. Literally any other Macca's I've gone to has been better. I ordered a sausage and egg McMuffin at like 3pm, look I get it, kinda my fault but still. I had a monopoly voucher. There was a crispy bit on my egg and I thought yum love a bit of crispy egg. It was rock solid like cold and cement like so gross. The egg was also runny (which is fine if I'm expecting it and pretty sure McDonald's isn't meant to do that normally?) It had leaked everywhere throughout the sandwich and was so messy, the buns had not been lines up at all, so it was smeared around and super annoying. I decided to take a bite assuming it was just put together by a toddler but would be ok. There is this taste in my mouth I genuinely can't get rid of. My ex used to work at Macca's and at the end of his close shifts he would smell like old oil and drains. This is legit the after taste I currently have and cannot get rid of. Anyway!...
