Pakpum Thai — Restaurant in Newcastle-Maitland

Purchased through menulog had red thai curry, fried rice and peanut satay. When we ate I noticed something in my bowl smelt like a foot/bad breath. I politely rang to ask to get a replaxement meal, offered all the food mixed but uneaten to show it was not some sort of scam. They refused. I asked for a refund they said no have to do it through menulog. The young lady did apologise and was kind but overall the management were unwilling to adhere to Consumer Law (sections 54, 55, and 260), food must be of acceptable quality and safe to eat. spent $65 on a bowl of thai that smelt off like bad breath and unclean feet... dissapoibting ive eaten here sooooo many times and it has been pretty good however, i would not recomend this restaurant or...

It's pretty hard to find local restaurants in Newcastle when you are staying at a hotel on a Sunday night, so I ordered food from this place via a delivery service.

The order arrived within the timeframe, but the main meal was ridiculous. For $17.90 I got the large plastic "main meal" box filled with gravy and three pretty small pieces of meat floating around somewhere in there.

I suspect they had run out of mussaman curry except for the three small pieces of beef and just put whatever else into the box to make up the weight. If you can't supply the order, just don't accept it.

I guess they thought a hotel delivery wouldn't be repeat business so they just skimped on it.

The other night we ordered for the first time for my boyfriends birthday. Ordered through menulog who totally stuffed us around BUT even though it was 1.5 hours late (menulogs fault) I just want to say the girl who answered my phonecalls (I think she was new?) was fantastic and handled everything so well.
