Upon arriving at Cardiff Seafood, the initial hiccup with our reservation—which had been made just an hour and a half prior—was an unexpected start to our dining experience. Despite the confusion, the staff managed to accommodate us after a short wait, which was appreciated.
The restaurant seemed to be bustling, which may have contributed to the delay in service. However, once our order was taken, the kitchen demonstrated remarkable efficiency, with our dishes arriving promptly. This quick turnaround was a redeeming aspect of the service, allowing us to shift our focus to the quality of the meal.
The food itself was a highlight, showcasing the freshness and flavors that one anticipates from a seafood establishment. The dishes were well-prepared, and the promptness with which they were served ensured that we could enjoy our meal while it was at its best.
In summary, while the initial service hiccup and wait to order were drawbacks, the swift delivery and quality of the food at Cardiff Seafood made for a satisfying dining experience overall. It's a reminder that even when service falters, excellent food can leave a lasting...
Read moreAn impromptu dinner for us tonight, because we had an appointment in Cardiff. We have heard great things about this restaurant for years and thought we’d try it out. It didn’t disappoint! The meals were huge! Fresh, hot and tasty. Fresh green beans, sliced boiled spuds, carrots and broccoli! Yum! The Seafood topper on the Schnitzel was ‘as you like it’ (I chose prawns and calamari in a creamy garlic sauce) and garlic prawns were a stand out. The garlic bread was lovely. The kids loved their pasta and schnitzels. Hubby like his Pizziola (steak in a tomato sauce), which was tender and delicious. Nothing was a problem. It is a quaint ‘no frills’ décor restaurant, but the food and the lovely waitstaff made up for that. The outside seating is nice if you get a table. The ingredients used are quality - they even use decent, thick serviettes (thank you!). Highly recommend this authentic Italian Restaurant. Shame it took me so...

Tony has owned and operated Cardiff Seafood since before I was born and did our weekly pizza delivery when I was a child. It is so difficult to get through on the phone when the shop opens because of how busy they are which I think that in itself goes to show how amazing this place really is.
The Cardiff seafood special is my go to pizza and is absolutely amazing. My favourite pasta in the sicilian I think it’s called. The seafood one that’s not in the tomato sauce.
Cannot rate this place highly enough. The outdoor seating area is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy your meal too, but be sure to book in advance because it’s...
