How do I start this, the English language could not beguine to describe my admiration and joy for this palace of a diner coming back from a trip to Adelaide from Geelong we decided to stop by a local shop in the heart of nhill for lunch and this was the moment I realised god was real. walking in I was immediately greeted by a charming and genuine smile from one of the staff some of the happiest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Unfortunately I didn’t get to order as my family had ordered for me but I have a sneaking suspicion that they slipped them $100 under the table because this was the best food I have ever ate I doubt god could dream of something as good as this. The food arrived in a excellent time of around 7 minutes putting MacDonalds to shame. My nose was instantly blessed with the scrumptious aroma of fresh food we got a chicken palm, large chips and gravy, avocado and chicken toasty, and a sweet chilli wrap and let’s start with the palm after the first bight I was almost brought to tears the perfect blend of savoury chicken with the sweet marinara sauce mixed with the best seasoning with a subtle but prominent spice probably picked fresh from a farm in Mexico that morning topped with a show stopping marble of mozzarella on top of it, it looked like they used a blow torch or pizza oven. The palm was paired with a refreshing salad nothing to go home and brag about but still a excellent choice from the chef. This chips and gravy this was the highlight if you good I highly recommend something so simple has no reason to be this marvellous I think they had Gordon Ramsay working in the back or something because this was a colonary masterpiece a exceptional ratio of steak chips to gravy and oh my, the gravy was AMAZING boss man knew was doing with this one it tasted straight out of heaven I don’t think I could fit the rest of the food in or this would be long. The interior and atmosphere was classic not too sophisticated but still great overall would highly recommend to any and everybody that is stopping by even though I am from Geelong I will be coming back every chance I get. I would easily choose this as...
Read moreNhill Dine Inn, we came in on a Tuesday afternoon. The staff where so bubbly and kind, loved talking to them, there smiles lit up my day. We stoped on the way back from Adelaide for a quick lunch. Prices where great you get more then what you payed for. I would highly recommend the chips and gravy, that first bite almost brought me to tears, boss man definitely knew what he was doing. They where sadly out croissants I was totally bummed, but the chef at front went out of his way to hook me up with the best toasty I have had since my grandma used to make them for me in African. Chicken was fresh cheese was pefrect and the avocado had me smiling. Definitely making the 5 hour trip from Melbourne to eat here again. Lots of love to everyone working there, the locals where very welcoming, by the looks of it that was the locals favourite dinner in the area. The chef even went out of his way to come say goodbye to use before leaving. Till...
Read moreRather disappointing. I ordered the chicken burger with the lot. I expected a chicken breast but it was an oversized Chicken nugget. Wife ordered wedges with sour cream and sweet chili sauce witch was okay. For drinks I ordered a large flat white coffee that came out before the meals and my wife ordered a Chocolate milk shake that we waited and waited for. after we had finished the meal we were keen to get moving and I went in to see what was happening with my wife's milk shake. I think he mush have seen us getting up from the outside table and started making the milk shake. ha to get him to pour it into a takeaway container as we were going. as we are regular travelers through here we will be looking for somewhere else to stop. Shame because Nhill is a good...
