Wimmera Bakery — Restaurant in Nhill

Worst bakery I've ever eaten from. We stopped in for lunch on our trip to Adelaide and will not stop here again. Pies are that of a soggy, microwaved, undercooked one from a supermarket, not bakery quality at all. The Saussage roll looked ok, a little pale instead of golden but it did look flakey. Looks were deceiving, I was very disappointed to find it was also limp with no crisp, again seemed like it was microwaved. We had also got the kids donuts and none of them ate the whole thing, which is unusual, so my husband and I ate what they didn't and were quick to see why. Unlike the usual fluffy, decadent donuts you get from a bakery, they were thick, dense and gluggy, like they had been full of oil that had hardened all throughout. We also bought a loaf of bread to have in the caravan for lunches, it was an unsliced loaf and when we asked if they could slice it, they advised us they didn't have a slicer. Ok so I stopped in on my way to Adelaide from Melbourne. Previously came in on way home a few years ago and got a hedgehog. Really yummy. This time round got a hedgehog which was half the size and no doubt same price. Sill yummy. Great customer service, you'd lady who served me today was lovely. My negative are the sausage rolls. I'm really sorry Wimmera bakery but you need to know so that hopefully you can improve on it. They were really awful. I have never tasted anything like it. The elderly woman who we spoke to was the rudest, un-polite shop assistant we've ever come across. We thought the bakery was closing but she said it closes at 4pm. We went in there at 3pm & there was one sandwich left & when we asked if she could make some more sandwiches, she snapped, only ham cheese & tomato & also said to pay no attention to the menu above us because it was out of date! There was 4 of us & we turned around & walked out, was not willing to part with our money for the worst customer service we've ever...
