Most bakeries I’ve been to offer a selection of basic and frankly, boring foods. Like they were ripped straight from a supermarkets’ shelf, generic.

Not this bakery No-no-no. This is no ordinary bakery. This is THE BAKERY!

I have never been to a bakery with such a rich sense of quality, customer and community service, loyalty, love and care. The staff are just as lovely as the food. This place is an innovation in food and service. All for what I consider to be an unfairly low price for such high quality!

I fell in love with this bakery the first time I tried one of their cakes… I was at a business I worked at nearby. At the time I was 13 years old. The business was celebrating a successful year and brought a cake that had a photo of the volunteers and employees made in icing on the cake. I was expecting the icing to taste like flavoured plastic, like most of the image-icing cakes in supermarkets. But as I ate a piece I cut that featured me on it.

I couldn’t believe my own tongue. Somehow they had made the icing look handsome and taste handsomer. I thought to myself “finally, some good flavoured icing”.

But it didn’t stop there. The cake itself, the base, the main event. It did not disappoint. It tasted like innovation. It tasted like love and care; intense, yet soft and delicate. I had never experienced such a pleasureful mouth experience… from a dessert. If delicious was a food then this bakery would be the only place it would be served.

What’s even better is that cakes aren’t the only thing they sell. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, rolls, wraps, pizzas, pies and so many more products.

I’ve tried most of their foods. And if their cakes are any indication of quality. They’re all incredible masterpieces. The cupcakes they serve are essentially a free trial to the experience of eating one of their legendary cakes. They all are so full of love and care… literally! The cakes I order look like they’re going to explode from how much quality they stuff into them.

Since that fateful day 4 years ago. I have only ordered cakes from the bakery. Year after year I order birthday cakes for myself. There is no better way to celebrate a birthday. I order cupcakes from the bakery on a weekly basis. I’m addicted.

This bakery is not only an innovation in art, quality, presentation, customer service and community loyalty, But also an innovation in food itself. We ordered 120 medium sized scones to be delivered to our venue for my daughter's wedding Devonshire tea on the weekend. When they arrived, fresh and warm from the oven, they were HUGE and absolutely delicious. All of the wedding guests commented on how amazing they were and thought they were home made. Bradley was very accommodating when this mother of the bride realised at 4.30 in the morning that I hadn't planned lunch for the bridal party. A quick message to the bakery and an extra 20 rounds of mixed sandwiches arrived beautifully boxed with the scones. While I had had breakfast provided and planned, it was eaten the night before by the hungry hoards helping with the event set up, so once again, Avon Bakery came to the rescue and we were able to get fresh bread at 5 in the morning to feed the hungry hoards again. What an asset to Northam community this bakery is- open at 5am, delicious food and an owner who was so flexible and accommodating to last minute requests. Thanks again Bradley. Had a chicken salad roll with raw boiled chicken in it. When I approached the staff I was snarled at and told its because the chicken is boiled. I then remarked that’s even worse the chicken if boiled should be white not pink, fleshy & raw could give someone food poisoning the lady muttered something under her breath and walked away!!
