Order 3 different meals from the menu but cashier said out of stock. Then end up order whatever available in the menu.after waiting for almost an hour we shocked when served they replace a sweet potatoes with chips without telling us at first, also the steak meat it's actually a thin slice sandwich meat instead serve a steak what showing and wrote in the menu. Then we want to talk to her manager and ask refund , but she said the manager busy at the back , she make it hard and let us waiting standing there for waste extra about 10-15mins . After ruined our day she dare enough to tell us for a partially refund ! No way ! We don't get what we paid for. We were expecting to eat meals from the menu ! Not whatever pop up in your head ! The next day my husband want to try his luck again for breakfast there, with hope maybe different person in the morning will serves better services, but again, they didn't serves what describe on the menu. They replace my husband's salad with coslow salad without telling him again at first, and missing sauce from menu , my plate is missing boiled egg. Then asked where is the boiled egg that describe on the menu? Then waitress bring a poached egg not cooked inside. I said to my husband im pregnant i can not eat raw poached egg need to be cooked boiled egg like what showing from the menu. Then the waitress coming bring again with another pouched egg ( NOT the round BOILED EGG like what showing in the menu )and only 90% cooked inside. Imnot sure why they can't just serves what is describe in the menu. What kind services is that? The chef and waitress must be lack of skills. You all can't just expecting a customer eating whatever pop up in your head. I don't know what is your problem. If it's because you have no stock ready at least you need to tell the customer first ! People may have dietary restriction. Shame on...

Wow. What a train wreck.

Never has the lack of presence of an authoritative Duty Manager stood out like it did during today’s visit, our first and last to Dome Northam.

Today 9/9/23 was a bit like watching a play where the actors stuff-up, forget their lines, lose the plot and the audience starts booing and throwing tomatoes.

At exactly 7.08am breakfast for three people was order and was received efficiently but robotically, with zero warmth or welcoming. Certainly no advice of extended waiting times at this point…

We had to ask the wait staff to clear the previous diners’ crockery, otherwise it wasn’t going to happen.

Our three drinks - a coffee and two teas - were served to us FIFTY-FIVE MINUTES LATER(!!!) at 8.03am, and the meals - or at least two of the three - were delivered five minutes later at 8.08am, A FULL HOUR after we placed the order! The third meal was delivered about 10 minutes later, after we approached the counter and asked where it was.

That hour gave us plenty of time to watch and cringe as lots of other impatient and annoyed customers approached the barista and other counter staff, asking what the hell was going on with their own orders.

The meals were ordinary - big breakfast just barely scraped in; one French Toast was bearable; the other looked like it had Sat unwanted in the kitchen too long, sloppy, flaccid and unappealing. It was pushed aside after a few mouthfuls. Certainly didn’t look like the pic on the menu!!

We delivered polite feedback upon leaving and were promised that the Chef would be informed of our thoughts. Terrific!

Unbearably cringey experience, and so painful to watch and hear so many other customers getting irate. Made for a terrible atmosphere.

Hope the honest...

I have been to the Dome Cafe in Northam approximately 5 times to date. I attended one adult birthday party and it was well catered for and the staff helped every moment run smoothly. Well recommended for celebrations and children are catered for too. There is a magnificent bar on site, but unfortunately due to COVID -19, it was closed to the public.. Fortunately, COVED-19 is history in Western Australia, so the bar may be up and running again. It would be a great idea to double check when making a booking. The food menu caters for young and older family members, but if you enjoy your coffee, prepare to line-up for a short while because the beverages are popular. With the fantastic Spring weather Northam has been experiencing lately, day time visits don't usually require a booking for a family meal, and that's because the venue is so spacious. The views of Bernard Park and the Avon River from the Dome's rear inside, and large outside sitting area, are so beautiful, and such a delight to enjoy with your family. Experience this for yourself while visiting Northam on your next family outing.. Like my family, you will be so...

The atmosphere of the Cafe was very pleasant, nice and clean with a vintage cross modern look. Wait time was fast and food was just lovely and filling but my burger was a little messy to eat, first bit and all the avocado fell out, in my opinion when food falls out of your burger it becomes unappealing, chips and onion rings were nice and tasty and my chai latte nicely presented and comforting, After meal customer service is non-existent was waiting around for 45 minutes for someone to come clear my table so I can give some feedback about six people walk past but no one came up, so i just gave up and left with a sense of disappointment make me not in the mood for any dessert they could offer.
