WHAT A FIND! I've been down in the valley for nearly a year now, desperately looking for a cafe that is open longer hours, so that like in larger cities or overseas, I can relax or work with someone bringing me food, rather than just my having a rushed gobble to get out by closing at 2pm. I'm vegetarian, so my choice of what I eat is always going to be based on ethics rather than potential taste, and frankly as long as I'm not hungry after I've eaten, I'm happy. So I'm not the best person to review food. By my standards my veggie burger was perfect. But that's not what really impressed me - what got me was that the service actually gave a damn. Only one, but the best example of this is table water. At no cafe I've been to so far here has this been proactively offered. At best, and even in highly rated places, on enquiry I've been told to help myself from a few bottles of lukewarm water. At Aqua, for the very first time locally, not only was I asked if I wanted cold water to go with my black coffee, but both water and glass turned up chilled. And yes, the cafe was busy. I used to go here for the fish and chips very regularly as a tradition almost every time I went to the beach. They used to be pretty decent, a little on the spendy side but better food than other more expensive places. Sadly this no longer seems to be the case. I had been looking forward to it for months but the fish was so bad our dogs wouldn't even eat it and they are garbage guts. The chips weren't much better. I couldn't say what it was that was wrong exactly, over cooked I think but it also tasted bad. Multiple pieces.

I'll was going to give them the benifit of the doubt and think this was a one off, but others seem to have had the same experience recently.

They were very quick, and it is peak season, props to them for that, perhaps extenuating circumstances for the bad food but still.

This place is an absolute must to go and have lunch coffee or snack. Make sure you sit outside to see the kangaroos. They are everywhere laying around in the shade, you can go up to them and have a pic with them. It is so beautiful to see them so relaxed and healthy in their own habitat mixed worth people. Please don't scare or attempt to pat them as it is not good for them to get too used to people but enjoy them and please respect that they are letting you come close.
