The shop sign "Vintage Tearooms" catches my eyes. Although I am a coffee drinker, I would like to check out this place.
It is not your normal Cafe. The wall is full of framed pictures, and shelves displaying tea sets. Behind the counter are shelves of rectangular tins of various kinds tea leaves.
The quaint tearoom has very English feel. Several bone China sets on display are donated by people near and far. Besides scones, the cakes look good too.
Vintage Tearooms is well known for its fluffy scone. It is served with handmade jam and fresh cream. The first lot of scones come out from the desktop oven at 10 am, when the door opens each morning. I am reliably informed that on a busy day, that little oven can churn out about 100 scones.

The delicious smells of the teas and baked goods made me regret having breakfast so I could just eat and drink EVERYTHING there. The gorgeous vintage wares kept me so entertained and the set up was so original, inviting and cosy, you could have a private conversation in so many cute nooks it was hard to choose a seat. Then to top it all off the staff were absolutely lovely, like having your kind, funny, aunts who just love feeding everyone serve you. I took a few bags of tea home and the smell/memories make me smile every time I have a cuppa. Will definitely be back and can't recommend...

Lovely hostess Claire who is the mum of proprietor Mirriam is really kind and patient with our three girls. They fuss over the different teacups and saucers, all lovely by the way, crack their heads over which tea to choose, then battle it out over chess. The homemade scones with cream and jam and raspberry cheesecake go really well with Kyoto cherryblossom tea, sticky chai and French press coffee. Wonderful time chatting, laughing and just soaking in the quaint oldtime charm of...
