Packed Cones Gelato — Restaurant in Parkes

The ice cream was nice and very welcome on a hot day. Sadly the young girls who were serving in the shop had some friends hanging around the shop. While their behaviour at first wasn't the worst, they did start to act in an aggressive and intimidating manner, circling the shop on electric scooters, generally being loud and inappropriate near the seating area. Staring at people. For a period they were hanging around my car when I walked up to it I noticed that they had scribbled smiling faces, with what looks like crack pipes in their mouths, in the dust on my car. No real harm done but it doesn't really make people feel safe, I was there with two young children and there were other families there. Wasn't nice. Would have thought the owner would be receptive to this and be protecting their patrons. Oh well, first thumbs...

Absolutely love Packed Cones!!! The flavours are fantastic, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is just what the main street of Parkes has needed for a long time. The outdoor area is great for the kids to have a play and enjoy their gelatos. The only criticism I have is the lack of protection against the weather. We would have loved to have gone down these past few days however due to the rain the tables were not accessible. It would be great to see them get some plastic walls and outdoor heating down there for the winter months and to give some protection from the rain. Overall can't fault Packed Cones, keep up...

Good ice cream. Friendly service. Sadly when we tried to enjoy the ice cream outside, we witnessed aggressive racist verbal abuse and threats by a passerby towards a mixed family who were enjoying ice cream at the table. Felt quite unsafe there we went back to our hotel to finish over the ice cream...
