I had a prawn cocktail and a grilled Barramundi snack pack for 1 person. The cocktail was good, the chips fantastic, and the portions of the fish were great -didn't like the tartar sauce though- However, my fish was like 3/4 cooked... so semi raw grilled fish, and it wasn't just the look but the texture, which was like bubble gum (which is how raw fish texture is). I didn't bother to ask to get it grilled longer as I was in a bit of a rush. The service was good and quick (I guess too quick for the fish to be grilled properly). 4 stars as I didn't expect this from such popular seafood restaurant. Would come back...
Read moreThe food was amazing as always but myself and 2 workmates asked if it was too late to dine in at about 7.45pm cause we didn't want to hold them up from closing but the girl behind the counter said that it was cool to dine in they weren't closing for a while yet but then 2 minutes after we got our meals out comes the cleaner and started mopping the floor and let's just say it's not a very pleasent experience when you are eating to have the strong smell of disinfectant all around you. Once again living up to our expectations of fresh seafood at reasonable prices. New photo... Sunday afternoon and nothing was open in Port Augusta except Barnacle Bill's. So glad we took the time to find it. The pickled seafood marina was chock full of tangy delights. The Barra was delish and an extra couple of pieces of Whiting, all crumbed, were perfect for two.
