KFC Port Augusta — Restaurant in Port Augusta

Where do I start.... ahhhh cleanliness. There was NONE. Whilst I waited for an extremely long time for a very basic order I started to look around. As someone who also works in the food industry as a quality control officer this restaurant is disgusting. Airconditioning vents on the ceiling and above food preparation areas were full of greasy dust that had not been cleaned in a very long time. Drinks fridge glass doors were filthy from hand grime, POS monitors were covered in dust, food on floor and other customers asking to have there table wiped down before they could sit and eat. Young staff who were not trained in customer service or simply didn't want to be there came through quite clear. The lack of hairnets or gloves was disturbing as I watched the server wipe his nose with his hand and proceed to shovel the chips for my order. It was not busy so there are no excuses for the appalling conditions I was witnessing. If this is what it looks like front the front as a first impression, I shudder to think what it looks like behind in the kitchen areas. Not good enough Port Augusta. KFC. You...

I’ve never seen a more unprofessional fast food restaurant like Port Augusta KFC before. •As soon as we walked into the place the room was full of smoke, the muppets running the joint can’t have had the ventilation turned on. •We struggled to hear our own voice because the rubbish music they had playing on the tv was too loud. •The place was full of customers waiting and there was only one girl on the counter (who was unfriendly, not polite and was stressed) •The staff out the back were also obnoxiously laughing loud and swearing and one chubby young guy out the back with a head set on who twice dropped a big metal object on the floor and then kicked it making another loud annoying noise. •Everyone seemed to be waiting at least 10 minutes or more for there food •We walked out of the place satisfied with the food but also relieved to be out of the damm place and determined never to go to Port Augusta KfC agian because the whole experience there...

My large chips container was only half full. These chips were not cooked recently. They tasted like they had been cooked a week ago and microwaved to warm them up. They were soggy and floppy. I couldn't finish them because they were gross. Customers shouldn't be given yucky leftovers, undercooked foods, or food that has sat a long time. Food should taste like it was only just cooked. It didn't help that no salt was added. I ordered and paid for sauce, yet I didn't get any given to me. Customers shouldn't give you money and not get what they asked for. To me, that's just robbery to profit and not give what a person has paid for. Gravy and mash were clumpy and unappealing. Some lettuce on my burger was brown.
