Not exactly spoilt for choice here... Look it's ok, Drinks are well overpriced even for a rural country town. $16 for a regular pint. Were not in Adu Dhabi.! But this is Australia and you have to accept getting ripped off or you'll never do anything. The food was however actually reasonably priced, kinda.. I had the $19 tacos starter which lasted all of 2 mins, which looked good but wasn't very flavoursome. My friend had the fish and chips which was ok, ketchup came out in a paper dish rather than a nice ramekin. Our dishes came out 15 mins apart so mine was cold. There was no table water either. One of the bar staff, short with heaps of tattoos was as miserable as sin and she certainly needed retraining. I also wasn't impressed with some of the customers vaping in what I would consider the main non smoking area. That was gross to smell the vape whilst eating our dinner. The staff didn't do anything about this which was disappointing. Look this might sound negative but honestly it's well worth a look, make sure you budget for it and see what you think. I'd definitely come back one more time.. Id probably have an alcohol free night though tbh... It's just not worth the $$

Sat inside as the weather is warming up. Aircon struggled especially when we had queues of people line up past our table to get a drink. There is no service as such, you queue at one bar to order a drink and then queue up again at another bar to order your food. Food came out promptly though we were there at 5:30pm. While my fish was very tasty, $47 for a small section of snapper and chips is outrageous! The salad wasn’t even a salad more of a garnish. Your normal menu item of fish n chips is $34 and comes with 2 pieces of fish. I chose the fish of the day special as I thought it would be better value than the oysters at $70 a dozen. I understand the need for the return on your investment of the renovations, but could you space the repayment plan to customers out a bit and not all in the first 6 months of opening. Rays is a lovely pub to watch the sunset after a hard day's work, not the Hyatt.

Went here for dinner last night with the work crew. Very busy for a Tuesday so could only get a 7pm booking for 5. Long question at the bar so takes a while to get served. Ordered a couple of drinks that came out flat from the post mix so they did adjust and gave us replacements, but still not that great. We all ordered at same time but spilt over two orders. 3 meals came out 45 minutes later so by this time it was past 8.15. The other two meals did not arrive so 10 minutes later asked about them. Took another 30 minutes for these to arrive so did not eat until nearly 9. Also three of the steaks came out very rare when ordered as medium and medium rare. Sent the supposed medium back and that took 30 minutes plus to get replaced. So all in all it was a bit of a disaster and the steak was not very tender and full of grizzle. Surroundings were nice, but won’t be going back in a hurry.

This is a great venue, with wonderful food and drinks option. This review is simply for the purpose of anyone seeking to watch a significant sports event.

This is not somewhere to go to watch any grand final, which is an event this restaurant advertises.

From two poor quality TV's to the terrible internet connection it was just terrible. Similar to most guests, we could barely see the TV and further that it constantly was cutting out which meant we were reliant on our phones.

Bad management consideration to the lay out of tables and chairs meant a group of girls who were not watching the game and were very obnoxious sat directly in front of the screen, which obstructed the view of people that were genuinely there to watch, Unfortunately their loud chatting and socialising made it difficult to even hear the game. Multiple guests spoke to the girls, but they weren't really interested in anyone else enjoying the game.

This whole shamozzel could have been avoided by management by either a.Not holding an event they can not cater for. B. Have a better layout of chairs in front and tables to the back to prevent guests blocking the view. C.Trouble shooting internet connection and having a backup option.

We had to leave the venue to be able to go home and watch the game where thankfully the TV works and we can see it !

Again, great venue for lunch, dinner and drinks. Just not a great venue for...

We had a wonderful time here. For a Thursday night, it was relatively busy but not overcrowded, and no one was overly loud or disturbing the atmosphere. It was a little hard to work out where to order as signs had conflicting instructions, and the bar staff seemed a little disorganised so the wait to order drinks was a bit stressful, not knowing if the bar staff were even coming back. Only other downside was that we booked well in advance and mentioned that we had small children with us (1 and 3) and they seated us at a high table, with bar stool-like chairs that were wobbly on the pebblecrete, meaning that the children bounced between peoples laps while we tried to eat as they couldn't sit on their own chairs. The food was delicious though, and from ordering to receiving the food was about 10 minutes, which is great considering how busy it was. The menu had options for everyone, large portion sizes, and yummy sounding desserts. Would give it a 4.5 if i could, just because of how awkward it was to precariously balance a squirming 1yo on my lap while I tried to peel prawns one-handedly and stop him from drinking the Mayo...
