All pies and sausage rolls had very yellow pastry, we only ordered two pastries based on the strange look and to give it a go as we are visiting from out of town. I had the mushroom pie, might as have been a plain beef, below average. Sausage roll was boring, to be honest a plastic wrapped servo roll would have been on par. We also treated the kids to a cup cake, it looked great but tasted horrible, worst cake flavour ever, something must of gone wrong with the cake mix. I hate wasting food but had to spit it out and bin that one, kids weren’t keen either. Not sure where the high review ratings come from. On a quest for the best curried chicken pie in the region and Bassy’s delivered the flavour in spades this morning. Instead of the usual choice of curried chicken or chicken mornay, they also have chicken and veg, and a satay chicken.

The pies were stuffed full of big juicy chicken chunks and very reasonably priced at $5.40 each.

The curried chicken won my taste-vote but the mister reckoned the satay chicken won by a taste bud!

This place is absolutely amazing the food is just delicious with a wide variety for a bakery, the staff are all so very polite, welcoming and helpful. Great to grab a quick snack, lunch, dessert and even birthday, Easter,Christmas holiday options.
