Bektopia — Restaurant in Queensland

Absolutely blown away Bektopia! We went everyday while staying in Cooktown for a week. In the mornings for coffee and smoothies and then back for lunch. Coffee standard is extremely high, what you would expect to find in major cities. The food was of outstanding quality and absolutely nourishing and delicious. And such a relief knowing everything is completely coeliac friendly. After chatting with the owner Bek, it was clear that she is extremely passionate and talented, sourcing ingredients locally and doing them justice. Such a friendly experience with all the staff and a great vibe with lots of locals and visitors. So grateful to have found a place like this on our travels! We’ve had Bek cater for two events to date and would highly recommend for this. Besides delicious food she’s consultative, takes time to understand the event, the culture, what type of food, how much food and then attends the event to cook fresh food and make sure everything is going well. The staff she has with her are friendly, approachable and busy taking care of people’s needs! We had her cater for a 50th for 50+ people and also a work event for 30 people. Both totally different crowds, different menu and as said above can’t fault her. Great price...

I wouldn't even give 1 star. I ordered a regular iced latte cost me $8 and I got given a small paper coffee cup with bitter coffee and horrid long life milk. I am a massive coffee addict and have had coffees from Melbourne to Cape York and out west. Never have I ever had a coffee such a horrendous coffee before I stopped here on my birthday.
