Very Disappointed we were looking forward to an awesome Thia Meal. I had sent an email to book they don’t check their emails for their online booking system. I phoned to make the booking and it was chaos talking to the wait person. On arrival she never stopped running from one table to another terrible under staffed. My Cousin and his wife were extremely disappointed with their meals, the gluten free choices were dismal. The corkage charges were hideous $ 5.00 per bottle of wine which only included 1 plastic wine glass, each. we opened our own wine and served it. The beer was hideous my Husband opened his own bottle and there was No glass provided, and they charged corkage. The fish cakes didn’t taste like they had fish in them they were unrecognisable and Not authentic Thia food. The red curry was sweet had pineapple out of a can and didn’t taste like Thia Curry. This business needs to review the way they do business and provide services to the public. We won’t return for another meal...
Read moreTerrible food. Just slop!! We went there because they advertised vegan and vegetarian food. We also called 2 days prior to confirm the vegan and vegetarian options. Once seated we were told they didn't have v and v food because they were two busy! I mentioned that we we had called and checked online. DIRTY LOOK! She said she had forgotten to put the no option sign out. Waitress said all of the food was pre prepared with fish and oyster sauce!!!! Oh dear! The vegan was offered precooked spring rolls and I ordered veg phad Thai. The worst food we have ever had was placed in front of us. We realised then that we should have left. We tried to eat the slop but failed. So tried to talk to the waitress only to be insulted by her and the chef! It just got worse when we were ordered to pay..... There were people complaining everywhere so we left. Don't go there if you are vegetarian, vegan or carnivores....
Read moreVery under staffed. The only wait person was running. She was waiting table, serving takeaways & washing up. We were only there for an hour. Some of the meals were OK but a couple not so good. Not authentic...we've been to Thailand. Maybe just a bad night or hard to get ingredients in Cooktown? There was very little chilli in anything & it was really sweet. Fish cakes rubbery. Very little to choose for coeliacs - No 1, 9 & 22. 22 is egg fried rice with whatever meat you choose & not much of that. Corkage was another matter. We don't mind paying but usually you get an ice bucket. $5 per bottle of wine, $1 for a can of beer & $2 for a bottle of beer. But you serve it yourself. Plastic wine glasses. Also a 1.6% surcharge on...
